A flight plan consist of several parts such as Origin airport, departure, the First thing to do is
select a procedure pressing the PROC button and select the departure using the FMS outer knob
high lighting SELECT DEPARTURE, then press ENT for entering the procedure.
The system will identify the airport that you are in and will show you AIRPORT, DEPARTURE,
RUNWAY and TRANSITION options. Here you can go to the next option by pressing ENT or moving
with the FMS outer knob.
You can select the DEPARTURE by rotating the FMS inner knob. When you have one selected, press
ENT and the blinking cursor will move to the next parameter, repeat the previous steps to select
the different options.
To review your flight plan, press FPL.You can move it over it by turning the FMS outer knob.Every
time you select a waypoint, this will display graphically on the map on the left.

SETTING A FLIGHT LEVEL
On the active flight plan page, rotate the FMS outer knob to highlight an altitude for a segment and
change it by turning the FMS inner knob or pressing the numbers on the GCU and pressing ENT.
NOTE: Departure procedure altitudes and flight levels are not shown.
DELETING A WAYPOINT
To delete a waypoint, place the cursor over the fix or waypoint to be deleted and press CLR, the
system will ask if you want to remove the specific waypoint, press ENT or rotate the outer knob to
select CANCEL.
To add a waypoint to the flight plan, place the cursor below the point you want to add it and turn
the FMS inner knob to activate the cursor, enter the name using the inner knob for changing digits
and the outer knob for moving to the next character and press ENT.
Lets create an flight plan from Tucson (KTUS) to Los Angeles (KLAX).
Press the FPL button and turn the FMS outer knob to move on the waypoints of the flight plan.
NOTE: The altitude selected is reached at that specific waypoint and it is calculated internally based
on the current altitude and the remaining distance.
