PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE
West Bloomfield High School Fall 2015 – Present
West Bloomfield, MI
I taught four years of Biology, Chemistry, Physics, and AP Environmental Science. I
incorporate project-based learning projects throughout the yearlong Chemistry and Physics
courses. Each project connects the objectives of a unit to a real world problem that
students work in teams to solve. I continue to differentiate instruction by including a variety
of learning activities to meet the needs of all types of learners. I meet in Professional
Learning Communities weekly to design and develop lessons, analyze student data, and
plan interventions. I am an active member in designing the science curriculum to integrate
the Next Generation Science Standards.

Henry Ford Academy: School For Creative Studies Fall 2013 – Spring 2015
Detroit, MI
I taught two years of Biology and Earth Science. I worked with teachers and administrators
to adjust and modernize the science curriculum that connected state and the common core
standards to design challenges. I developed daily lesson plans and unit plans that connected
the objectives to real world scenarios. My lessons differentiated instruction by including a
variety of learning activities to meet the needs of all types of learners. I collaborated with
other teachers. I met in Professional Learning Communities bimonthly to discuss and
analyze student data.

Triton High School, Erwin, NC Fall 2012 – Spring 2013

During my first year of teaching, I taught two semesters of Biology and Honors Biology. I
developed daily lesson plans and unit plans, along with activities, projects, and labs. I gained
experience incorporating common core standards and content standards into my daily
lessons. I was involved in Professional Learning Teams that met at least once a week to
analyze and discuss student data.
