Positions Required for CGICOP Dasu Project

1. Planning Engineer

Requirements: nearly 10 year related work experience

Job Description:

 Understand work scope, quantity and familiar with logical sequences in terms of engineering,
manufacturing and construction disciplines.

 Conduct field scoping to clarify scope as required.

 Understand WBS structure, and work with management and project/maintenance team in the
development of work break down structure for progress measurement, scheduling, cost
estimating and project control.

 Prepare and manage overall master schedule integrating work breakdown structure using
scheduling software.

 Understand contractual matter, earn value method, familiar with scope management and change
control.

 Coordinate schedule from multiple contractors and incorporate the information gathered into the
overall project master schedule.

 Prepare cost estimation and schedule bar chart plan considering all in puts (manpower,
equipment’s and materials) availability, production and construction sequences.

 Develop work method of statement or procedure as required.

 Understand and able to utilize planning tools such as MS excel, Access, MS Project, and
Primavera.

 Develop and update resource (manpower and equipment) histogram weekly or monthly as
required.

 Evaluate allocation of resources and provide recommendations to maintain required progress.

 Develop and implement plan versus actual progress charts (histograms/S curves). Reports and
analyses deviations from plan.

 Track, monitor and forecast progress of all activities and deliverable such as products,
engineering documents, fabrication status and construction of all discipline.

 Analyze gaps between the planned and actual progress and highlight the areas of concern which
required action of the associate task member.
 Perform probabilistic analysis of completion dates and potential alternatives. Present risk based
analysis of most likely completion and expected deviation range.

 Liaise with all team leaders and/or members to communicate required completion dates and
interface between functional team/operational team and project team.

 Participate all meeting (i.e schedule review meeting , progress meeting, coordination meeting,
construct ability review meeting and so on )

2. Quantity Surveyor

Requirements: specialized in road, earthwork; nearly 10 year related work experience

Job Description:

 Preparation & submission of Interim payment application (IPA) to consultant.

 Checking of subcontractor bills.

 Preparation of Bar Bending Schedule.

 Preparation of Rate analysis & Estimates of various items.

 Preparation & submission of shop drawings to consultant.

 Preparation of Profit / Loss Analysis of various items of works.

 Preparation & Submission of Escalation claim.

 Preparation of MMR (Monthly Monitoring Report)

 Checking correspondence of Structural Drawings with architectural.

 Report to the Contract Manager the daily progress of the works.

3. Civil Engineer

Requirements: specialized in water supply and drainage area; at least 5 year related work
experience

Job Description:

 Undertake day-to-day on-site construction and supervision activities to ensure that works are
implemented according to detailed design and technical specifications as well as
local/international codes and regulations related to the construction works, under the direction
and guidance of the Team Leader.
 Assist the Team Leader in team leading and attend to all technical and construction matters
arising which are directly or indirectly related to the Water Supply, Drainage and Waste water
Treatment areas during the construction.

 Report to the Team Leader on a daily basis and to his supervisors concerned on the progress of
the woks and attend to any issues and take necessary actions under the guidance of these
Engineers and supervisors.

 Liaise with Contractors and Sub-consultants for any design discrepancies during the construction
phase and provide immediate appropriate solutions to maintain the project schedule and quality
of delivery are met in accordance to the project requirements.

 Carry out any other works that will be assigned to the role from time to time during the
construction phase.
