Lesson Plan.

Topic: the insects


Objectives:
General: differentiate insects from other animals that are not, through worksheets.
Specifics:
 To Identify insects through images and vocabulary.
 To recognize the characteristics of insects by means of a story
 Differentiate terrestrial insects and those that fly.

Vocabulary
1. Worm: Gusano
2. Butterfly: Mariposa
3. Ladybug: Mariquita
4. Bee: Abeja
5. Ant: Hormiga
6. Fly: Mosca
7. Spider: Araña
8. Snail: Caracol

Planning 1

 Warn up: He teacher will show you a video where the insects will appear and
what characteristics they have.

 Teacher´s explanation: The teacher will show you images of the insects that
will work and ask the children what characteristics they know about them.

 Example: Students will be told that insects are invertebrates because they have
no bones and are smaller and therefore different from other animals.

 Activity: The teacher will tell a story to children with titles about insects.

 Warn up: Or the motivation the teacher will use a video that shows the images,
pronunciation and name of the insects.

 Teacher´s explanation: The teacher will begin with songs of greeting, after this
they will be told that there is an activity prepared for the day with the theme of
insects and after this a video will be shown to the students. The images will then
be shown to the teacher, first pronouncing the names and then the students will
repeat the name of the image that the teacher will teach them. Then the images
will be shown and the students will have to pronounce their name in English
without the help of the teacher.

 Example: The teacher will put on the board the names of the insects that are
being worked on, the students will have to pronounce them, this to review the
vocabulary.

 Activity: the teacher will perform an activity of association of insects. for this on
the blackboard images are pasted upside down, then the class will be divided
into subgroups and they will go past and try to find the pairs of insects.

For Example: a student will come out and choose a card, take out the butterfly,
take another card and see if it is a butterfly.

 Worksheet: to finish the activity, the teacher will deliver a sheet with insects in
the habitat, students should color only the insects worked in the class.
Planning 3

 Warm up: the teacher shows them images of the insects and the help with a
story invents those that fly and those that are of earth
For example: bees fly and worms crawl.

 Teacher´s explanation: The teacher will ask the children about the insects they
have seen and where they have seen them, then the teacher will take them out
to the patio to explore some insects that surround the area.

 Example: The teacher will teach the children the image of a spider and a fly,
the students should say, which one flies, and which one is terrestrial and so it
will be done with several insects.

 Activity: Or the development of the activity, they will be given a leaf with
insects, as the first part will color the drawings and then they will enclose in a
yellow circle those that are terrestrial and in a blue circle those that fly.
