Rough Inspection
IRC R109.1.2 Rough plumbing, mechanical, gas
and electrical systems inspections shall be
made prior to covering or concealment.
IBC 110.3.4 Rough Frame Inspections shall
be made after the roof deck or sheathing, all
framing, fireblocking and bracing are in place and
pipes, chimneys and vents to be concealed are
complete and the rough electrical, plumbing,
heating wires, pipes and ducts are approved.
NC Administrative Code 107.1.4 Rough-in
inspections shall be made when all building
framing and parts of the electrical, plumbing, fire
protection, or heating-ventilation or cooling
system that will be hidden from view in the
finished building have been placed but before any
wall, ceiling finish or building insulation is
installed.

Boxes on opposite sides of the fire wall or partition
shall be separated by one of the following:
