Description
UMR is the largest THIRD-PARTY-ADMINISTRATOR (TPA) in United States of America. It works with more than 150 PPO
and PHO networks, including UHC’s national network. CPS (Claim Processing System) is the primary source of work in
progress and processed claims, and customer service support information. This application meets the business needs of
processing a claim.
Responsibilities:
Analysis, Designing, Coding and Testing of the program’s change as part of enhancements and new
developments.
Creation of all the Techinical documents as a part of SDLC Process.
Only member in the team who worked simultaneously for both teams of Claims and Eligibility.
Sharing Funtional, Technical and Process related knowledge with the peers.
Handling customization of new setups of customer jobs in production without delays and defects.
Testing of new customer test files.
Development of VBA macros in order to increase efficiency and accuracy within the project.
Also working as a Configuration Controller for the mentioned Project and involved in all the processes of
related activites and Audits.

Description
WellPoint sends claim for benefit application to TPA. TPA applies it and sends back to WellPoint. WellPoint did not
update their accumulators for these claims. Our role is to create new accumulators and update them for TPA claims.
Previously the Accum update used to be in hardcoded logic, but we are implementing the update based on the business
and medical rule that any changes required will not impact the source code, only change in rule DB will be enough.

TPA is Third Party Administrators and they work on Membership Administration, Claim Adjudication, Review Member
Services, Client Reporting etc. We work on the enhancement of these products and also deal with the pricing for the
claims. The claims for which we work are price only, ITS system and JAA claims.
