PARTICIPATION IN ISSDC

INTERNATIONAL SPACE SETTLEMENT DESIGN CONTEST (ISSDC)

OVERVIEW
This, is the most prestigious aerospace contest to be held for school students. This contest
is a team contest where a team of 12 students participate.
The ISSDC is held at multiple rounds due to high amount of participation.

● INTERNATIONAL SPACE SETTLEMENT DESIGN CONTEST
INDIAN NATIONAL SPACE SETTLEMENT DESIGN CONTEST
This is the first round of the ISSDC. 20 schools all over India are selected on basis of a
submission. The submission includes a 40 page document w8th the team's original research
and content, addressing the prompt given. The deadline for the submission is 1st September
and the INSSDC is held on 18 October.
The registration fee is Re.12000.
If qualified the team of 12 students would be travelling to Manesar to attend this competition
which would be held continuously for 23 hours.
ASIAN REGIONAL SPACE SETTLEMENT DESIGN CONTEST
5 teams out of the 20 would qualify for the ARSSDC.
This too would be held in Manesar and the rules would remain the same to a great extent.
INTERNATIONAL SPACE SETTLEMENT DESIGN CONTEST
The winning team would be invited to attend the ISSDC held at John F. Kennedy Center at
Cape Canaveral, Florida, USA.
Requirements and Registration Process for INSSDC
The first step of registration is to pay a demand draft of Re. 12000 and get the team
registered. After that, a RFP (Prompt) would be sent so that, the team can work on the
project. The team comprising of 11 members of our school would be working on this project
and would be submitting it before the deadline (1st September).
A mentor or a teacher would be required to accompany is and guide us through the process
and help us in organising, and completing our project.
While registering, options to register as both an individual team and as part of a school are
present. If permitted, we would love to participate on behalf of the school.

Participation till the ARSSDC would be done by the team, taking into account the timing.
For participation in ISSDC, factors including availability of sponsorship for travel cost and
more would be taken into account as, event is held in the USA.
