The effect of Electromagnetic Radiation on the general public is becoming a
concern as the number of sources increases. Recent legislation limiting the
maximum levels of electromagnetic radiation permitted from these
installations has been introduced to protect the public, but compliance testing
is often performed infrequently and then over a short period of time.
The monitoring stations continuously sample the electromagnetic field (24h/365d), store
the readings and transmit them regularly to the Control Center.
The electromagnetic field is measured by means of triaxial isotropic probes that allow a
composite reading of the field in full as it arrives from all spatial directions.
The computerized control system is designed for direct integration via the Internet, allowing
authorized users to track the monitoring stations from anywhere with an Internet connection. In
addition, the collected data can be published to make it available for consultation by any
interested person.

APPLICATIONS
MonitEM is an ideal system for those
responsible for base station reliability and
performance. Continuous verification that
the electromagnetic radiation produced by
the base stations, telecommunication
facilities and power lines is below
recommended international limits maintains
public confidence.

CONTROL CENTER
The data capture results are transmitted to
the Control Center, which is configured for
remote management of Measurement
Stations. From the Control Center the station
identification parameters, alarm systems,
data storage, data transmission, report
generation, etc., can all be programmed, and
it can be used to provide access via the
Internet to the information generated.
ALARM SYSTEM
MonitEM can be programmed to provide an alarm signal if the recorded level of
electromagnetic radiation exceed set levels. The Control Center can then alert the user when
this event occurs.
The Control Center receives this alarm warning and shows in real time which remote
monitoring station is measuring field levels above the programmed threshold.

CALIBRATION
MonitEM stations are individually calibrated before delivery, a necessary prerequisite for
reliable and professional measurement. An uncalibrated device can give such a large error as
to make the measurement wholly unreliable.
