Terms and Conditions of membership:
• I agree to abide by the code of conduct for parents and members as stated in the member’s welcome
booklet.
• I give permission for the above-named child/person to participate in any and all activities at Abbey
Gymnastics C.I.C.
• As a gymnast or parent or guardian, it is my option to consult a doctor for assurance of proper health
and have been encouraged to do so by Abbey Gymnastics C.I.C.
• I have disclosed all information to the best of my knowledge as requested on the club membership
form and will update the form should any changes be made throughout the year.
• I authorise the representatives of Abbey Gymnastics C.I.C. to provide any emergency medical services /
treatment which may be required due to an injury during any gymnastics activity at or for Abbey
Gymnastics C.I.C.
• I understand that participation is entirely by my own choice and with the understanding that there are
risks and the possibility of accidental injury, paralysis and even death in any activity involving unusual
motion or height.
• I declare that I am aware of the element of risk involved and while I accept that the coaches and event
personnel will take precautions to prevent accidents, I understand that they may not be held
responsible for loss, damage or injury to my child or his/her belongings.
• I agree to supervising my child in the reception area before and after my child’s gymnastics session. I
understand that Abbey Gymnastics C.I.C is not responsible, whatsoever, for anything that happens
before or after the child’s designated class, this includes loss or damage to children’s personal
belongings.
• Fees are paid for 4 terms per year. Payment for the next term is always due the last week of the
previous term. The preferred payment method is through the website. A £5.00 late fee will be added,
per week, if the payment is not received before the end of the previous term. NO EXCEPTIONS. If
payment has not been made BEFORE the third week your child/children will lose their place from
his/her class.
• Cheques are no longer accepted as a form of payment. Abbey Gymnastics C.I.C. accepts payments
online or of cash, debit card, credit card for recreational programmes. Team gymnasts over 5hrs per
week must pay by standing order over a 10-month period (September – June) .
• Transferring classes is permitted so long as there is space available in the class you wish to transfer to
and is arranged in advance with the coach. Transferring classes is a privilege, please do not abuse it.
Transferring must be permanent, not an alternative for any reason.
• Abbey Gymnastics C.I.C. reserves the right to cancel any class at any time. We will endeavour to
contact you before any class is cancelled, refunds will not be issued.
• I will inform a coach if my child should miss 3 weeks or more and understand that failing to do so will
result in the loss of my child’s place.
• I understand and accept that no refund will be given for any reason of absence, class cancellation or
termination of my child’s membership.
• Any merchandise baring the Abbey Gymnastics name/logo must only be purchased directly from
Abbey Gymnastics C.I.C. Using the Abbey Gymnastics name/logo on items which have not been
purchased from the Company is an offence and those found doing so will be liable to prosecution.
• I understand by becoming a member of Abbey Gymnastics C.I.C. I will endeavour to assist with
fundraising activities when required. Members who do not assist with fundraising activities will not
receive the benefits or use from equipment purchased from such activities.

I do hereby verify that I have read, understand and accept ALL of the above terms and
conditions shown by my signature below.
I enclose a deposit (not refundable) of £35.00 (£55.00 For competitive members and FIG) per child to secure
my child’s place (NB. This payment is for affiliation to British Gymnastics, G.N.I. and Abbey Gymnastics C.I.C.
for 2019/2020. This payment does not include Class Fees
PLEASE NOTE: ABUSIVE BEHAVIOUR, EITHER VERBAL OR PHYSICAL WILL NOT BE
TOLERATED AT ABBEY GYMNASTICS C.I.C. ANYONE FOUND TO BE ABUSIVE TO STAFF
OR OTHER MEMBERS WILL BE REMOVED, MEMBERSHIP WITHDRAWN AND
REPORTED TO THE POLICE IF NECESSARY.

Abbey Gymnastics CIC Consent Form - use of images and/or words

In order for Abbey Gymnastics CIC to comply with data protection regulations, it is necessary to obtain your
written consent to use your image or words for the purpose of promoting the club. You should only agree to
Abbey Gymnastics CIC using your photograph, film or words if you feel completely happy to do so. You should
not sign this consent form if you feel under any pressure or obligation to do so.

How we may use your photograph, film and words:

Abbey Gymnastics CIC may use your photograph, film and words for the purposes of promotion, education
and development of the club/sport e.g. to publicise events, in newspaper articles, magazines and other media
such as websites, information leaflets, electronic newsletters and presentations.

What if I change my mind?

Once an article or image is published and in circulation (e.g. newsletters, website images) it can be copied and
used by others. However, you can contact Abbey Gymnastics CIC at any point and ask us not to use your
image or words for any new purposes. We will comply with this request and will also do our best to stop others
using your image or words, although we cannot guarantee this. Please note that we will be unable to remove
images that have already been used in publications or publicity material.

How long will the club retain my images?

If you do not withdraw your consent, we will retain any images for three years. After three years, images will be
reviewed and will be deleted unless they are considered to be of historical importance to the club and are
retained as part of the club's archive.
