Biz4mation Inc.
1234 Wolftrap Lane
McClain, Virginia 18756

Dear Mr. Bahadorie,

The job listing for a technical writer which you had posted on your Linkedin page caught
my attention. I believe that my background with the US Navy, my long record of written
documents, and my experiences in living and working abroad make me a unique as well
as highly qualified candidate for this position.

I am currently studying as an online Student with Arizona State University, with the goal
of finishing my BA degree in Liberal Arts and Sciences. I have completed over 145 hours
in arts and sciences towards this goal. I will complete the degree and graduate by the end
of this year. As my courses are entirely online, my grades and my course work are based
completely on written communication.

Your job description indicates that you are seeking a candidate with a proven track
record of accomplishments, while also bringing unique skills and experiences to the job,
beyond academic accomplishments. I believe my proven record of working as a
researcher, foreign language translator and technical writer with the US Navy Historical
Command, as well as an archival researcher for a highly published historical author, Capt
James E. Wise Jr., for more than ten years makes me an ideal candidate for consideration
in the field of technical writer/research associate with foreign language skills. Here are
some highlights of my skills and accomplishments:

Over ten years translating documents, including many over seventy years old, from
German, Russian and Polish from both highly technical engineering documents to
political and historical documents.

Ten years working as a researcher in historical study and publication at the US National
Archives in College Park, Maryland and the US Naval Historical Center, Washington
Navy Yard, Washington DC, and the National Air and Space Museum, Smithsonian
Institution Archives.

I have lived and worked abroad in Moscow and St. Petersburg, Russian Federation
teaching English as a foreign language to native Russians, and in Berlin, Germany as a
student of German and teaching English as a foreign language, where I also taught native
Germans.

Cataloging documents and archives at the US Navy Library and Historical Center,
Washington DC, including handling and identifying documents formerly classified as
secret, and verifying with security personnel that they are secure for publication in the
public domain.

Translated historically fragile and sensitive documents in the US Navy Library, including
skill at personally scanning, converting to pdf files, and assembling public documents
with original documents and my translations for public access on the US Navy and
Marine Corps Internet, including verifying that such documents were no longer classified
and eligible for public viewing.

Assisted senior military and civilian officials with searches for rare documents in the US
Naval historical collections. Proficient in Microsoft Word, Power Point, Excel. Proficient
in computer skills including Microsoft Office Word, Excel and Access, PhotoShop,
Adobe Professional and Captivate 5 for preparation of original documents and posting on
the Navy Historical Center Website. Word Perfect for Windows Visio and PowerPoint.
Experience with Robo Help for Microsoft Word.

I have also served as an intern in the office of US Senator John S. McCain III, a position
which gave me valuable experience in dealing with the public on important issues.

I believe my contribution to your team as a technical writer would be significant, and

unique, in that I am able to bring rare experience to tasks due to the specialized nature of
my research background and the documents with which I have worked.

I have received personal recognition for my accomplishments for the US Navy, including
a letter of recognition from RADM Paul Tobin, Director of US Naval History and
research historians in the Office of the Secretary of the Navy and the Naval Historical
Command.

I very much look forward to communicating with you further and discussing the position
with you. I will be in touch with you within a week, however, should you wish to contact
me, please call me or email me at your convenience, I may be reached at any time by
email or by phone, 202-111-1111.

With my best wishes,

Stephen Revai
