    The Cardiac Care Technician (CCT) assists cardiologists in both invasive and non-invasive cardiac procedures such as angiograms, angioplasty, pacemaker implants, stress echos, and holter monitoring. CCTs also monitor patients for cardiac problems, interpret basic ECGs, and recognize dysrhythmias. They prepare patients for procedures like open-heart surgery and pacemaker implants.     VIVO- Cardiac Care Technician (CCT)

    The Cardiac Care Technicians are trained to assist cardiologists in all invasive and non-invasive procedures (angiogram, angioplasty,
    pacemaker implant, stress echo, tilt table test, holter monitoring). They also monitor patients for any type of cardiac problems
    within a healthcare setting. Students will also be able to interpret basic ECGs and recognize cardiac dysrhythmias. Cardiac Care
    Technicians also prepare patients for open-heart surgeries and for implanting of pacemakers. Technologists monitor patients
    during these procedures.

    Objectives

    After completion of the course, participants will be able to: • Assist cardiologists in all invasive and non-invasive
    • Perform all cardiac ultrasound procedures (2D Echo, procedures(angiogram, angioplasty, pacemaker implant,
    Colour flow, Doppler, trans oesophageal). stress echo, tilt table test, Holter monitoring).
