Introduction
AirMagnet Planner enables you to accurately plan and design a/b/g/n/ac wireless networks
without rolling out any APs physically. AirMagnet Planner accounts for building materials,
obstructions, access point configurations, antenna patterns and a host of other variables to
provide a reliable predictive map of Wi-Fi signal and performance. The solution without
rolling out any APs physically, offers superior predictive modeling to determine ideal
quantity, placement and configuration of APs for optimal security, performance and
compliance.

Special Notes
 If you imported a CAD image (.dwg) for your project, the “Export to CAD” option
enables you to export the image along with any APs and walls data that was added to
the image. For more information, see “Export to CAD” in the user guide and on-line
help.
 You must uninstall the demo version of Survey before installing the released version of
Survey Planner.
 The Cisco Prime NCS/WCS integration feature requires a Cisco “Plus” license.

Bug Fixes
1. When deleting a filtered or merged data file while it is open, the application may crash
(DE10432)
2. Intermittent crashes when refreshing heatmaps in Multi Floor Planner (DE11477)

Known Issues
This section documents some known issues with AirMagnet Planner.
1. Cisco Prime NCS/WCS AirMagnet planner export: A shift in the border rendering may
occur. The work around is as follows: After importing the project into Cisco Prime
NCS/WCS, select the building, click the floor plan, select “Map Editor,” maximize the
browser, click "click here." (DE2262)
2. Clicking “Yes” within Recalibrate prompt may not produce recalibrate push pins. The
work around is to try again using the measure tool. (DE2990)
3. Simulated noise level is not saved to the Sim- data file. (DE2870)
4. When using Multi Floor Planner, in an exported Building level report PDF, the blue,
purple, green color legends under 2D floor view may get replaced with a blurry image.
(DE3623)
5. When using Multi Floor Planner, there may be an incorrect walls/areas offset after
recalibration if using a Visio image for the floor plan image. (DE3170)
6. When using Multi Floor Planner with imported Visio images, some floors may be
blackened out. (DE7879)
7. When creating a Planner project, if you create a wall that has multiple segments and then
change one or more segments to a different wall type, the change may not be saved.
(DE3040)
8. When using Multi Floor Planner, the user is not prompted to close and restart Multi Floor
Planner after making any changes to Display Performance, Sampling Density or Data
Processing. After making any of these changes, close and restart Multi Floor Planner.
(DE3778)
9. If you create two plans in Planner: If a heatmap is generated for the first plan and then that
plan is deleted, the heatmap for the deleted plan may be shown on the remaining
undeleted plan. If this happens, simply hit Refresh. (DE7098)
10. In a signal heatmap, interference values listed in the pop-up bubble help may shows as 0. If
this happens, change to the interference heatmap, then change back to the signal heatmap
and the correct values will appear.
11. If you change the color legend scheme for Predictive PHY Data Rate, the scheme for other
heatmaps may also change. If this happens, navigate to another heatmap and return.
