ILS-PTE: Process-Technological

Elements for SIMATIC PCS 7

Product brief February 2001

The "ILS-PTE" software package pro-

vides you with a program library for the
SIMATIC PCS 7 process control sys-
tem, enabling you to automate, operate
and monitor the steps of a process
clearly and easily.
By implementing well-proven function-
alities, which meet the requirements of
various industrial sectors, you obtain a
technological library that offers you a
high-level of standardization due to its
wide range of functions – with all its
advantages during the phases of ten-
der specification, engineering, com-
missioning, qualification and operation.
Function block versions with different
grades of functionality, as well as dis-
play construction statements which
can be centrally modified also enable
the package to be adapted flexibly to
meet specific customer or project
requirements.
A major characteristic of modern pro-
cess control systems is that powerful,
modular software functions are avail-
able for the process control and visual-
ization for standardized process engi-
neering tasks.
The "ILS-PTE" software library (German
abbreviation for Industrial Control Sys-
tem – Process Technical Elements)
provides function blocks whose power-
ful functions permits efficient automa-
tion at the individual control level.
This software library provides the stan-
dards for generating SIMATIC PCS 7
user software in a rational and
cost-effective process.
