ODU Leadership Camp Counselor

 Originally established for just Norview High School rising freshmen but soon spread to become a district event, the Leadership Camp
was designed to students who will attend high school for the first time in the fall assume a leadership role in their school. The students
are partnered up with teachers who act as their mentor for the upcoming year to help them have a smooth transition into high school as
well as help them have a successful first year academically.

Cosponsor of Black History Month Trivia Contest

 Worked with a coworker to raise awareness of Black History Month and all of the accomplishments and contributions made by
various African American citizens. Each day during announcements a different trivia question would be posed to the student body;
students would submit their answers. Those who got the answer correct would have their names put into a raffle that occurred at the
end of the month.
Taking Back the Hallways Coordinator

 A teacher led initiate to eliminate tardiness of students at Norview High School. The program tracks student attendance through the
Intranet at the school e with a full database of the student population.
 As Coordinator, I log student data, assign detentions and Saturday Schools, and schedule hallway sweeps.

Talent Show – Audience Favorite

 With a coworker, wrote and choreographed a parody of “Teach Me How to Dougie” called “Teach Me How to Study” and performed
in front of the school. Song emphasized the need to study and avoid distractions. Our performance made local news.
