Performance Standard: 1. Appropriate farm equipment and facilities are identified.


2. Instructional manual of farm equipment are carefully read prior to
operation.
3. Pre-operation check-up is conducted in line with manufacturer’s
manual.
4. Faults in farm equipment and facilities are identified and reported in
line with farm procedures.
5. Farm equipment are used according to its function.

Good Morning, Sir.
Before you take your seat please pick up
some pieces of papers and arrange the
chairs properly.

None, Sir.
Very nice, all are present.

Checking of Assignment
Do we have an assignment?
Can you please pass it to the isle and I’m
the one who will check it.
Review
Do you still remember what we have
tackled last meeting?
Yes, Sir.
So, what is our previous lesson all about?
Our lesson is all about the different tools and
implements in crop production.
Alright. We have discussed the different
tools and implements in crop production.

I have here pictures I want you to name the


tools or implements posted in the board and
kindly tell how we use these tools and
implements. Is that understood?

Hand cultivator

II. ACTIVITY
Before we proceed to our lesson
I need four (4) representatives.
I have prepared here a game. Are you all
familiar with 4 pics 1 word, right?

Same mechanics like the original, you need


to guess the right answer.

III. ANALYSIS
Okay class, do you recognized the pictures
revealed?

Are the pictures familiar to you?


Now, with regards to the pictures can you
guess what will be our topic for today?

Alright. Today we are moving forward to


the different farm equipment we used in
crop production.

But before I discuss the topic I would like


someone to take the remaining letters and
paste it on the board.

EQUIPMENT

IV. ABSTRACTION
Let’s go back to the pictures. With regards
to our lesson the pictures here in our front
are some examples of our lesson to
discuss this morning/afternoon.

These are the Farm Equipment. But before


that what is equipment again?
 These are machineries used in crop
production.
 They are used in land preparation, and
 Transporting farm inputs and
products.
 It needs a highly skilled operator to
use.

Very good.
So, go back with our topic there are
different farm equipment used in crop
production.

Hand Tractor
 Is used to pull a plow and harrow
in preparing a large area of land.
Four wheel tractor
 Is used to pull disc plow and disc
harrow in preparing much bigger
area of land.

Water pumps
 Are used to draw irrigation water
from a source.

Thresher
 A farm machine for separating
seeds or grain from the husk and
straw.

Corn Dehusker
 To remove the husk from the corn.
This reveals the corn on the cob.
Rice Harvester
 Farm machine that mechanically
harvests a crop.

Grass Cutter
 Is a machine or device for cutting
grass

Rice seeder
 Is a gardening equipment used to
plant rice seeds.

Miller
 An agricultural machine used to
automate the process of removing
the chaff (the outer husks) of
grains of rice.

Is there any question about the different


equipment in crop production that we have
discussed this day?
V. APPLICATION

Okay class if you really understand the


topic can you name some equipment or all
of the nine (9) equipment that we have
discussed then mention also how are we
going to use this equipment.

(Anybody from the class will answer the

Scrapbook on farm tools, implements,


and equipment

After learning what are the different


farm tools, implements, and equipment.
You will be compiling pictures of it and
its uses or function.

1. Collect pictures of various farm


tools, implement and equipment.
You may clip pictures from
internet or you may draw.
2. Cut the pictures and paste it on ½
short construction paper.
3. Search for the uses or functions of
this tools, implements, and
equipment and write it below or
beside the pictures.
4. Compile the sheets into ½ short
folder.
5. Submit it to your teacher.
