VIII. PROTEST
GENERAL TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS
For the purpose of E-ISS- 2 2k19 competition is to make the teams realize that they are
Working for a design firm that is designing, fabricating, testing and demonstrating a
Prototype vehicle for the non-professional, weekend, competition market. The vehicle should
have very high performance in terms of acceleration, braking and handling and be sufficiently
durable to successfully complete all the events described in the E-ISS- 2 2K19 Rulebook which
are going to take place at the dynamic round. Additional design factors to be considered
include: aesthetics, cost, ergonomics, maintainability, manufacturability, and reliability.
Once the vehicle has been completed and tested, your design firm will attempt to "sell" the
design to a "corporation" that is considering the production of a competition vehicle. The
challenge to the design team is to develop a prototype car that best meets the E-ISS- 2 2K19
vehicle design goals and which can be profitably marketed. Each design will be judged and
evaluated against other competing designs to determine
The best overall car.
Vehicles entered into E-ISS- 2 2K19competition are expected to be designed and fabricated in
Accordance with good engineering practices.
● Judging Categories
The Karts are judged in a series of static and dynamic events including: technical inspection,
cost, presentation, and engineering design, solo performance trials, Rally Race and high
performance track endurance. The dynamic events are scored to determine how well the kart
performs. Each dynamic event has specified minimum acceptable performance levels that are
reflected in the scoring equations.
● Open Registration
● E-ISS- 2 2k19 has open registration policies and accepts registrations by student teams
Representing same college/university.
● Official Announcements and Competition Information
● Teams are required to read the published announcements by HINDUSTAN MOTORSPORTS
And to be familiar with all official announcements concerning the competitions and rules
Interpretations released by the E-ISS- 2 2k19 Rules Committee. E-ISS- 2 2k19 news is published
online and can be found at 2K19official Facebook page/ Instagram Page

questions and resolve problems and discrepancies quickly and equitably.
● Preliminary Review -Required
If a team has a question about scoring, judging, policies or any official action it must be
Brought to the organizers or staff’s attention for an informal preliminary review before a
Protest can be filed.
A team may protest any rule interpretation, score or official action (unless specifically
Excluded from protest) which they feel has caused some actual, non-trivial, harm to their
Team, or has had a substantive effect on their score. Teams may not protest rule
Interpretations or actions that have not caused them any substantive damage.
All protests must be filed in writing and presented to the organizer or staff by the team

Technical Inspection. Non-compliance must be corrected and the kart re-inspected before it
is allowed to operate under power.
● Once the vehicle has been presented for judging in the Cost or Design Events or submitted for
Technical Inspection, and until the vehicle is approved to compete in the dynamic events, i.e.
all the three inspection stickers are awarded, the only modifications permitted to the vehicle
are those directed by the Inspector(s) and noted on the Inspection Form.

Recharging low voltage batteries.
Change of Drive/Driven sprockets as per requirement.
● Once the vehicle is approved for competition, any damage to the vehicle that requires repair,
(crash damage, electrical or mechanical damage) will void the Inspection Approval. Upon the
completion of the repair and before re-entering into any dynamic competition, the vehicle
MUST be re-submitted to Technical Inspection for re-approval.
