The student will demonstrate what he/she has learned through an activity or
event. Types of culminating activities can include: a demonstration, an exhibit, an
event, or study. The project planning must be done on the student's own time and
includes utilizing a Project Advisor who serves as the content expert. With prior
proposal approval, the student's project hours may be logged before the onset of
the student's last year of school. However, he/she will still need to complete a
culminating activity that showcases what they learned from the 20+ project hours
and demonstrates a positive impact on their peers, school, and/or community.
On February 22, 2019, the Grade 12 students of Antipolo National High School
participate in the celebration of Culminating Activity. The said activity presents
the different area of Senior High School Core Subjects. The Grade 12 students
( Hope and Faith ), was divided into group and assigned in different task area as a
committee for preparing the event like for program, invitation, sound system,
hall preparation, accommodation of area, and for cleaning the place of event. But,
the Grade 12 Faith is only the section who demonstrate their skills in the said
event that's why 27 Students was divided in different categories of
demonstration.
The culminating activity was lead by Antipolo National High School Teacher III
Ms. Christine May P. Petajen a Junior High School Teacher and also a Culminating
Activity Adviser of Grade 12 Students. Other teachers of the school and other
Grade Students also joined and watch the demonstration in event.
As a part of the program, the two adviser of Grade 12 students Mr. John Mark O.
Bagadiong and Mr. Kristoffer T. Tariman share their welcome message for all of
audience then next is the Chairman on Program Alvin Husain a Grade 12 student
give his orientation to the audience about the flow of event for whole day.
The activity was divided into 3 category of presentation which are the
presentation of ( Research Paper, Business Plan ) and skils demonstration in
( Bread and Pastry Production (BPP) ). First part of the presentation is Research
Paper. There are top 3 best Research Paper which was choose to present by the
selected students and these are " Internal and External Factor Affecting the
Academic Performance of Junior High School Students" , by Erica Jane C. Tatel,
Bernadette B. Tabuzo and Shanley Mae P. Tabilin " The Track Preference of
Grade 10 Students in Antipolo National High School SY 2018-2019 " by Alvin A.
Husain and Reinalyn B. Tabuena , and lastly is " The Effectiveness of Using
Multimedia in Teaching English to Grade 10 Students " by Cherry Ann S.
Araojo and Angelika M. Aguilar. The selected students who are assigned to
present their Research Paper discuss, express and give the information and the
data of their study to the audience.
In the afternoon, the last part of the activity was the demonstration of skills in
Bread and Pastry Production (BPP). There are 3 groups formed by the selected
students and each of them was assigned to make different products. These are the
Dinner Roll Bread , Swiss Roll Cake, and Petit Four. Dinner Roll Bread was
assigned to Mark A. Asiñero and John Paul Mat T. Lumbao, the Swiss Roll Cake
was assigned to Rowelyn Santelices, Carlo Pantino and Michelleen Tabinas, while
the Petit Four was assigned to Jessa A. Tomagan, Vincent Magtagñob and Princess
Joy Pantino.
Selected students do their job with the helped and guidance of BPP adviser Mr.
John Mark O. Bagadiong. The demonstration of skills in Bread and Pastry
Production was almost 2-3 hours.
In the end of the day, students passed and finished their culminating activity. Not
easy for all times, but with the helped of them to each other their teamwork goes
for their dreamwork and their learning experiences in different subject was
served as a tool to presents their skills and knowledge especially they show how
their talents and personality improve through the help of education and as a
Senior Students of Antipolo National High School.
