Communications Staff and Project Assistant

Social Watch Philippines (SWP) is looking for one (1) Communications Staff and
one (1) Project Assistant. Please see tasks and qualifications per position below:

Communications Staff

Specific responsibilities include:


• Propose and execute a timely communications media plan for mainstream
tri- and social media
• Systematize SWP media work such as but not limited to updating tri-media
list, tri-media political mapping, etc. that will assist the organization in
decision making
• Draft and send out well-timed and approved press releases, media alerts,
and key messages for mainstream tri- and social media
• Arrange regular media interviews with SWP leaders, experts, youth and
community leaders as talking heads
• Ensure media kits and other media paraphernalia, and help mobilize media
practitioners during SWP media events
• Submit monthly media reports to Project Team
• Attend Project Team meetings and other coordinative meetings that will
enhance SWP integrated media work
• Supervise the SWP social media team

Relevant qualifications, skills and experience:


• College degree in communications or related disciplines; prior experience
on media work is an advantage; computer literate

Project Assistant

Specific responsibilities:
• Assist in organizing project activities and outputs
• Provide support during conduct of activities
• Assist in managing social media accounts
• Assist in organizing project reporting requirements
• Maintain close coordination with the Secretariat Coordinator, Convenors,
project coordinators and staff

Relevant qualifications, skills and experience:


• College degree, with at least one (1) year of work experience (entry level
applicants are also welcome); computer literate
