Procedure: Placing Harness BOM Tables

Before you begin Hide/Unhide

Training Files:
Download the training files using the button below, if you have not done so already.

Download

Procedure Setup:
1. To avoid naming conflicts, it is recommended you save your work, click File > Close until no models
display, then click File > Manage Session > Erase Not Displayed.

2. Click File > Manage Session > Set Working Directory and navigate to the
PTCU\CreoParametric2\Cabling\Tables_BOM folder and click OK

3. Click File > Open and double-click PANEL_CABLING.DRW.

Task 1. Place the BOM table for FLAT_HARN1.ASM.

1. Disable all Datum Display types.

2. Select the Sheet 2 sheet tab to activate it.

3. In the model tree, click Set Active Model/Rep and select FLAT_HARN1.ASM > Master
Rep.

4. Select the Table tab from the ribbon.

5. Click Table From File from the Table group.

6. In the Open dialog box, select harn_bom.tbl and click Open.

7. Click in the upper-right area of the drawing to place the table.

8. Click Repeat Region from the Data group.

9. In the menu manager, click Attributes.

10. Select the repeat region in the graphics window.

11. In the menu manager, click Flat > Done/Return > Done.

Task 2. Place the BOM table for FLAT_HARN2.ASM.

1. Select the Sheet 3 sheet tab to activate it.

2. In the model tree, click Set Active Model/Rep and select FLAT_HARN2.ASM > Master
Rep.

3. Click Table From File from the Table group.

4. In the Open dialog box, select harn_bom.tbl and click Open.

5. Click in the upper-right area of the drawing to place the table.

6. Click Repeat Region from the Data group.

7. In the menu manager, click Attributes.

8. Select the repeat region in the graphics window.

9. In the menu manager, click Flat > Done/Return > Done.
