● Collect more sources with data relevant to my research

● Analyze the data from the sources in order to draw conclusions on trends and other

patterns

● Continue to collect visuals for my display board and complete a plan for it

● Update my electronic portfolio (website)

Journal

In the past two weeks, I have started compiling sources for data collection. I have also

been collecting visuals for my display board. In addition, I have written a product proposal and

been working on a spreadsheet to organize the sources that I have found. I have also been using

my current sources to locate other sources with more data that I can use. In regards to my

research paper, my advisor reviewed it and gave me some feedback. She said that she found it

quite extraordinary for a high school student, which is very high praise, especially coming from

her. She also gave me some ideas on ways to further elevate my paper, which I will take into

consideration as I continue to work on it before I send it to a medical journal for publication.

Overall, junior year has been very busy and stressful, but the organizational skills that I have

learned in this class have been very helpful. I am approaching a period of testing, so I am going

to get even busier, but I’m almost a senior, so I am looking forward to that.
