Introduction:--

This is one of the applications in dtp. In this

application we can create the photo background,
photo editing, web pages design, broachers, adds
with multi colors, effects to your texts & objects, web
photo gallery, posters, banners & patches removing
etc.
To start:--

We have number of version like 7.0, cs2 (9
version) ,cs3 (10 version) etc.
Short cut keys:--
Ctrl + N : -- new document
Ctrl + shift+ N : -- layer creation

Ctrl+ T : -- for free transform
Ctrl + backspace key : -- to apply background color
Alt+ backspace key: -- to apply foreground color
Note:-- instead of backspace key we can use delete
button.

Set the color mode:-- RGB
Set the background contents:-- white
Click on ok.

 Duplicate an image :--
You can duplicate an entire image (including all
layers, layer masks, and channels) into available
memory without saving to disk.

procedure:--

Open the image you want to duplicate.

Choose Image Duplicate.
Enter a name for the duplicated image.
If you want to duplicate the image and merge the
layers, select Duplicate Merged Layers Only. To
preserve the layers, make sure this option is
deselected.
Click OK.

Layer Palette :--(F7)

To modify any created objects we have to create the
layers. We can take number of layers.
Window menu layer palette
Procedure:--
First create a new document
Next press ctrl + shift+ N for layer

Next create any object in each layer
To merge press ctrl+ E for single layer
Note:--
One layer should be for one object only
We can hide the layer by pressing eye button in
layer palette.
Feather :--( alt+ ctrl+ D)
This option is used to delete the edge part of the
image pixels.
Procedure:--
First create a new document
Open any image & make into duplicate
Select the any lasso tool
Select the image
Go to select menu
Click on feather option
Set the radius: -- 1.8 pixel
Click on ok
Click on ctrl + C copy
Select the document
Click on paste.
Note:--Select menu modify feather tool
Free Transformation :--( ctrl + T)
This option is used to increase the size of the
object and also flip the object in different angle,
rotate, skew, & distort etc.

Gradient tools:--
This tool is used to apply the multi – colors to
your objects & document. In this tool we have 5
types .they are:--
1. Linear gradient
2. Radial gradient
3. Conical gradient
4. Reflected gradient
5. Diamond gradient
To select any this option
Go to option bar
Select any one
Next create & drag on it.
To change any color
Click on the gradient option
It display the gradient editor box
Next change the color & click on new option.

Main tools box:--
Move tool :--( V)
This tool is used to move the created object &
image. It is also used to select the images & objects.
This tool is also called as pointer tool & pick tool.

Marquee tools:--
This tool is used to create the object in your
document. We have four types of marquee tool. They
are:--
Rectangle marquee tool (M)
Elliptical Marquee tool (shift+ M)
Single row marquee tool
Single column marquee tool
For this tool we have the shapping option in
optional bar. They are:--
New selection
Add to selection
Subtract from selection
Intersect with selection
To select this option go to optional bar.
Procedure:--
First create the new document
Next create the one layer
Next select any marquee tool
Next click & drag on the document

Next apply the color to object.

Lasso Tool:-- (L)

This option is used to select the images without
background. In this option we have three types of
lasso. They are:--
1. Lasso tool (L)
2. Polygonal Lasso tool (shift+ L)
3. Magnetic Lasso tool (shift+ L)

Lasso tool:-- this tool is used to select the image with

free hand.

Polygonal Lasso Tool:--

This tool is used to select the image with straight
line only. To delete any selection press backspace
key.

Magnetic Lasso Tool:--

This is also used to select the image based on the
pixels. We can delete the selection by pressing the
backspace key.
Procedure:--
First create a new document
Open any image
Make it into duplicate
Select any lasso tool

Next apply the feather: -- 1.8 pixels
Press ctrl + C copy
Next select the new document
Press ctrl + v for paste.

Magic Wand tool:-- (W)

This is also used to the images without the
background. To use this tool select the image
single color background only. We can also apply the
feather to this option.
Procedure:--
First create a new document
Open any single color background image
With move tool drag to your document
Select the magic wand tool
Go to optional bar & Set the tolerance:-- 35
Click on single color background
Apply the feather:-- 1.8 pixels
Press delete button
Click & drag it.

Crop tool:--
This tool is for mostly a stamp size photo purpose.
To cut the images into your document. To select the
particular part from your images.
Procedure:--

Eraser tool:--
This option is used to erase the created object in
your document. We have three type of eraser tool.
They are:--
Eraser tool (E)
Background eraser tool (shift +E)

Eraser tool:--
This option is used to eraser the object of created
in your document.
Background eraser tool:--
This option is used to eraser the background of
your document. It displays the transparent document.
Magic eraser tool:--
This tool is just the magic wand tool. This tool is
also used to erase the single color background of your
images of any document.

First create a new document
Open any single color background image
Select the magic eraser tool

Text tool:--
In this application we have four types of text
tool. They are:--
Horizontal Text tool (T)
Vertical text tool (shift+ T)
Horizontal mask text tool (shift+ T)

Horizontal & vertical text tool:--

This tool is used to type the text in your
document. For this two tools no need to create a layer
it display automatically layer.
To apply multi color
Click on add a new layer style option in layer
palette
Click on gradient overlay option.
Select any color
Click ok.

Horizontal &Vertical text mask tool:--

It is also used to type the text. For this tool create
a layer & next type the text.
To apply the multi color
Click on gradient tool.
To apply any wrap
Press ctrl + t free transform tool
Next select the wrap option.

Boarder text:--
It is used to type only the outline text. To type
the boarder texts select the masking text tools.

It is used to delete the pointer in the selection

Custom shape tool:-- (U)

In this tool we have six options. They are:--
1. Line tool (U)
2. Rectangle tool (shift+ U)
