New Features, Ehancements, and Fixes in IBM U2 SBClient Version 5.

- 3693*USA In previous versions, SBClient sent a warning message to

the user every two minutes if the product was installed without an
authorization key or license number. At version 5.4, SBClient no longer
sends warning messages in this situation. If the product is installed
without an authorization key or license number, it runs for a trial
period of 60 days and then stops. This feature is documented in the
IBM U2 SBClient 5.4 New Features manual on the documentation CD.

- 3865*USA New splash screens are displayed when starting SBClient

or getting information from Help > About SBClient. For details, see
the IBM U2 SBClient 5.4 New Features manual on the documentation CD.

- 5395*USA The SBClient 5.4 installation program was rewritten in

InstallShield 10.5, bringing it current with industry standards. The
new installation program offers a silent installation as well as the
standard installations on stand-alone PCs and network server/client
PCs. For details, see the IBM U2 SBClient 5.4 New Features manual on
the documentation CD.

- 6099*USA Documentation of TU.GET.DEFAULT.PRINTER has been added

in the SBClient Programmer's Guide.

- 6590*UK SBClient 5.4 allows storage of the UK ANSI representation

of the Great Britain Pound (GBP) currency symbol (�) in the UniData
or UniVerse (U2) database.

- 6771*USA When exporting Smart Query output to Microsoft Excel,

error message "General failure" was displayed. This has been fixed.

- 6980*UK In previous versions, installation of SBClient as an

upgrade failed if the computer was not rebooted. This issue has been
addressed by the rewrite of the InstallShield program, which now
prompts for a reboot at the end of the upgrade process.

- 7048*USA Version 5.4 implements a fix to the SBZ file transfer

program that improves performance and error-checking in uploaded files.

- 7095*USA Fixed a customer issue with backward compatibility of

VT220 terminal emulation in SBClient 4.5.5.

- 7800*UK In GUI mode, if the clipboard contains a string ending in

a carriage return, the Edit > Paste menu option and the toolbar
button work properly to paste the clipboard contents to a field. If
you typically use the shortcut CTRL-V to paste, be aware that it does
not work for pasting strings that end in a carriage return to a field
in GUI mode unless the field is multivalued. A note regarding use of
CTRL-V has been added in the Using SBClient manual.

- 7821*USA This version allows storage of the Euro currency symbol

(�) in the UniData or UniVerse (U2) database in ANSI format.

- 8036*USA This version corrects an issue that prevented display of

German umlauts when scrolling in a grid.

- 8218*UK In version 5.3.8, FTP transfer did not work with Solaris 9.
The FTP code has been changed to correct this issue.

- 8318*USA Implemented a fix to support cut and paste capabilities

in SSL mode.

- 8356*USA A code fix in version 5.4 enables SBClient to properly

support high-resolution display at 120 DPI.

- 32600*USA The InstallShield program for IBM U2 SBClient 5.4

implements a Software Electronic Licensing (SEL) version of the license
agreement using the License Access Process (LAP), in compliance with IBM
standards.

- 33179*USA The license text files are now included on the product CD
the location of the license files is shown on the splash screen
displayed from Help > About SBClient.

- 33181*USA SBClient documentation has been reformatted to IBM standards,

and a backlog of updates from versions 5.3.4, 5.3.6, 5.3.7, and 5.3.8 has
been applied to the manuals. The IBM U2 SBClient 5.4 New Features manual
is included in the documentation set, introducing new features of the
product. The updated documentation is available on the IBM SystemBuilder
Documentation CD.

- 33507*USA At version 5.4, SBClient upgrades to new open SSL libraries.

These new SSL libraries are the same as those used in UniData 7.1 and
incorporated in the forthcoming release of UniVerse 10.2. For details,
see the IBM U2 SBClient 5.4 New Features manual.

- 33685*USA The u2lic.dll has been renamed to u2licn.dll.

- 34217*USA SBClient 5.4 supports two variations of the launch

screen, offering you a choice of the legacy launch screen or a new
launch screen in the standard IBM format as a preference. For detailed
information about the new launch screen and setting or changing your

documentation CD.

- 34597*USA The Start bar and system tray icon for SBClient sessions
has been changed from the legacy icon to a new icon.

- 34795*USA In the new launch screen, the length of the Select

Connection Profile box is longer than the comparable list box in
the old launch screen to accommodate display of long connection
profile names.

- 34796*USA A new dialog box has been added in the SBClient 5.4
installation program that enables users to select a preference for
running multiple sessions of SBClient on a single instance of the
SBClient engine or multiple instances of the SBClient engine. For
