Abstract
A Virtual Classroom is a place where people can teach and learn interactively, communicate, view and discuss presentations, and
engage with learning resources while working in groups, all in an online environment. Virtual Classrooms are developed to promote
a greater count of students to indulge into the field of education. The students can choose courses and attend lectures either at the
scheduled time or view lecture at a later time. Faculties can take lectures, upload assignments, make announcements, evaluate
answer sheets and can also upload lectures and other discussions in various formats as videos, powerpoints, etc. Users must have
a valid user id and password to login thus creating their individual profiles. Students can also take up various quizzes which can
help them realize their inbuilt talents in various fields.

I. INTRODUCTION
The virtual classroom is designed in such a way that the student can communicate with the faculty when it is logged on and can
retrieve the text files from the website. Here the students are provided with the facility of attending the class of their choice. The
teacher can pass the text files to all students present in the classroom. The student can communicate with the teacher. This system
provides an effective communication channel between the student and the faculty. The student has the facility to view all the notes
issued by the faculty. This system helps in easy learning just by providing a virtual classroom. Currently, classrooms are manual
systems, or in some cases, semi-automated systems. Manual systems involve paper work in the form of maintaining various files
and manuals. Maintaining critical information in files and manuals is more risky and tedious. The manual system gives very less
security for saving data. Some data might have lost due to improper management. Searching information consumes more time. In
the manual system, students need to learn courses in the classroom only. In the manual system students need to spare a lot of time
and cost. It also involves travelling to the location in which the course takes place. Conducting exams and processing are more
tedious processes. The development of virtual classroom system contains the activities try to automate the entire process keeping
in the view of database integration approach. User friendliness is provided in the application with various controls provided by
system Rich User Interface. This system makes the overall project management much easier and flexible. It can be accessed over
the internet. The user information files can be stored in a centralized database which can be maintained by the system. This gives
good security for user information because data is not in the client machine. Authentication is provided for this application ie) only
registered members can access.

A. Admin Module
Admin is treated as a super user in the system. Admin can login to their page just by giving their username and password and the
admin can add and view the details of the staff. Admin can perform details such as adding new staff details and viewing the
existing staff details.

B. Staff Module
Staff can login to their page just by giving their username and password and the staff can add student details, upload study materials,
assignments and quizzes.

C. Student Module
Students can login to their page just by giving their username and password and the student can view the study materials uploaded
by the corresponding staff members, view the assignments and quizzes, submit the assignments and attend quizzes.

III. CONCLUSION
This Virtual Classroom system is thus useful for learning from the place where the students are and it helps the students to download
files and attend quizes. The virtual classroom transcends the boundaries of location, time and space providing a flexible learning
environment for all. Schools, universities and corporate organizations benefit from Virtual classrooms because it provides an
excellent way for experts to teach a geographically dispersed group of students without any difficulty.
