2 System Components
Audio Collection Board (ACB): It can acquire and compress two channels of VHF and 8 channels of microphone
signals.
CF Card: It is 1GB CF card and the card is made with mark ”PROGRAMME DISK”. It stores the Vxworks
operation system, VDRConfig.exe etc.
Backup Disk: It is 8GB CF card or 80GB harddisk and the disk is made with mark ”BACKUP DISK”. If it is
necessary, the current data can be saved in it.
Main Processor Board (Sister Board): It deals with various of data from Mother Board, Radar Card,Audio Card,
Multi COM Board, and stores the data to PDC and backup disk.

Please set GPS output format as NMEA0183 if you cannot find correct $ZDA word. With many equipments
connected with GPS signal some GPS load is very big, and if connected to S-VDR which can cause GPS abnormal
work. If this case please add one signal distributor (amplifier) is ok. You can contact our company or purchase at
local.

AIS before which need connect Gyro signal input. Then, a Gyrocompass converter module has been installed
accordingly before for us to make use of.
There maybe also an exception: If there’s no Gyrocompass converter module on board, please
contact our company for delivery or purchase it from local navigation company.

IF debugging is normal, connect our cable to the output interface of the converter with the other
side to SVDR.
Radar output interface & signal must meet the following requirements:
⑴ Output interface is VGA,BNC,DVI.
⑵ The standard refers to display monitors has screen resolutions between 640×350 and refresh rates between
60Hz and 85Hz
As following:

Please connect the analog to the Analog and the digital to the Digital.
RAU defined channel is fixed to Channel 23 and Channel 24, Channel 24 is main channel, Channel 23 is for
standby use, Baud rate is 38400, unless otherwise specially required, please don’t connect it to other places.
RAU cable is 4-core, after AC & DC Power are both cut off, at the same time the Power of Acquisition Module is
cut off, so that Emergency Power Supply Unit doesn’t supply power for it. 4-core cable definitions: Black:
NMEA+; Blue: NMEA-; Red: 24V+; Brown: GND; Black & Blue is signal line, Red & Brown is Power line.

Some vessels need more Acquisition Modules, when these more Modules are parallel connection, one of them must
be selected to be main unit, the main unit SW DIP-4 switch settings must be “0000”, other Modules’ settings
code must be exclusive, otherwise, Acquisition Module is not able to work normally, the code should be
ordinal, all the Sub-Acquisition Module output are all in parallel connection with the output of Main-Acquisition
Module, then be connected into Main Cabinet Unit; if there is only one Acquisition Module, the settings of SW
DIP-4 needn’t be changed, the default value is “0000”.
Note: “1” is low bit, “4” is high bit. (Please refer to later sheet)

When the switch is “ON”, means the settings is “1”; when the switch is far from “ON”, means the settings is “0”,
as referred to drawings(in order to be clear observation, the upper part of switch is made with blue Mark, “0000” is
Main-Acquisition Module)
