Websites of other brands

I looked at the different websites for products similar to mine in researching these websites I realised that the websites are
all based in the US. My website will focus on distributing in the UK as I haven't seen any website based in the UK. One
thing I see that is common with the examples I looked being trapstar and silk city is that they all made sure to have some
pictures of models actually wearing the product. The set up of these websites are quite clean and simple giving off a more
professional look with a white background. On the home pages of these websites they usually show the different products
that they provide. In my website I will take some of these skills making sure to keep my website simple, clean and clear.
The first question asks what types of media have the biggest influence for young people and the platform that
was chosen the most was youtube and instagram this impacted my planning as I decided that I would try to
advertise through instagram.
I also asked questions about people's favourite colours and found that colours such as brown and white aren't
popular but the colours that were popular were red, blue, pink, green, grey, purple and gold find out this
information was important as I was able to find out what colour durags I would begin advertising.
I also asked questions about ethnicity, age and gender in order to find my target audience, I found that black
males from the age of 13 - 18 were more likely to buy durags than anyone else.
Primary research
To find out the most popular social media platforms for
males from 13 - 18 I created a questionnaire so I would
know what social media platform to target when advertising.
From creating my own questionnaire I found that the most
popular apps with my chosen target audience where
instagram, snapchat and youtube.

To also find out the best colours to advertise I created a


questionnaire asking about the easiest colors to wear by find out
what colours people are alright with wearing, this will allow us to
not to waste time on trying to advertise colours that won't be
popular with our target audience. I also asked questions about the
different types of brands people buy from recently and I then
looked at these brands looking at what works for them and what
would work for me. I also asked questions in regards to prices I
wanted to find out how much people would be willing to pay for
durags and found that people wouldn't pay any more than £10.

I found that some of the popular brands teens were buying from are new upcoming streetwear brands based in london such
as trapstar and GoneClub london.

I wanted to sell my product for around £10 and put some items of sale for half price. In order to see if this price was the
correct price to go with I asked questions to my target audience about how much they would be willing to pay for durags
and how much they currently pay for durags.

trapstar advertise their brand i would believe that their target
audience would probably be males and females from the age of 13
to 23. This brand is similar to mine as we both aim to target a young
demographic and both brands are influenced by popular streetwear
brands.

There is no set price for advertising on Instagram. You create a bid for your ad’s placement. In theory, Instagram will place
the ad of the company that makes the highest bid for any particular advertising slot. In reality, it is much more complicated
than this, and you can not guarantee that Instagram will accept any ad you provide and serve it on the Instagram accounts
you bid for. There is more to obtaining a spot for your ad than just making the highest bid.

statistics.
