We would wish to extend our heartfelt thank you to you on behalf of our Management for

taking your precious time to meet the parties of dispute for a conciliation meeting on
04.06.2019 in reference to the strike notice issued by the Union, further directing both the
Management and Union to hold a COD talks outside the industrial premises to settle the
differences in the course of mutual understanding.

According the Management has organized the COD talks outside the industrial premises on
12.06.2019. The Management has tried the best to arrive an amicable settlement by explaining
the sequence of efforts taken by Management with the larger interest of concluding the COD
settlement. The Management even at a difficult financial state has came forward and
announced the wage increases in different meeting ranging from 10% to 14.1% & annual
increment from 1.5% to 2.0% respectively, which is almost above the affordability of the
Management. The Unit has incurred losses of 5.9 crores and withdrawal of 17 crores business
during 2018-2019 due to slowing of work by the unionized workmen.

Still the union has not realized the losses incurred by the Unit and its affordability. The
Management has given a substantial wage increase of 14.1% to Chennai Unit compared to the
wage increases given in other AYCL units of 8% and 9.25% respectively. The Union after the
meeting continued to remain at their rigid stand.

We plead the honorable authority to advise the union to understand the financial state of the
Unit and come forward for an amicable settlement.
