English is one of the International language, in some countries english

became first language. They are using english to communicate with each other,
English is very prominent has many interrelation ships with various aspect of
life. In indonesian, english is considered as a foreign language and is taught
formally from elementary up to the university level.

In this semester we have a subject that must we take,the subject is English


for young learner. English for young learners have four cours credit, in this
subject our lecturers give us clear explanation how to teach english for young
learner. dimana mata kuliah ini mewajibkan kami untuk terjun langsung ke
lapangan,, we were given one month time to teach in elementary schools, the
school is kartika before we doing our teaching and learning process,we are
doing simulation,where classmates as learners , we were divided into 9 groups
where each group consists of 5 persons , our groups are dina rahmi islamiyah,
deka, helena dwiva,sarimarsutalinda, and fauzia. Teaching practices in kartika
during 1 month . Where we got our 2 class, lower class and upper classes, i.e.
classes 3b and 5a. before we begin the teaching process, we discuss with the
english teacher about the material that we will teach. where class 5a taught by
ibu ria and class 3a was taught by ibu Halima. He gave much input and to
discuss about what we haven't understand. Before and after doing our teaching
process we meet him and all the teacher, this is our routines we did when the
school's surroundings.

Before we begin the teaching and learning process,we prepared our


material, media and lesson plan. We usually hold the working group work to
make a lesson plan, media, looking for a game that will be used to facilitate the
understanding of the students, and providing an opinion related to the process of
teaching that we will perform later and division who will be the first , second,
third,fourth and the last speaker.this rutinitas happened during we are teaching
in kartika, during teaching and learning process,we are together give feedback
with the other,sehingga kami bisa menutupi kekurangan masing-
masing(binggung b.inggris nyo nda hehe). All of the students looked antusiastic
during teaching and learning process,they are antusiastic to answer that we have
asked to them, if they can answer our questions they will get star sticker.after
give the explanation about the material, we are playing game(game ini untuk
melatih sejauh mana pemahaman mereka, game nya berkaitan dengan materi
yang telah kami ajar contoh materi tentang angka,kami memberikan permainan
ular tangga,didalam kertas ular tangga banyak terdapat angka-angka dimana
mereka disurh membuat kalimat menggunakan angka-angka yang ada dikertas
tersebut)

Selama proses mengajar berlangsung hal yang saya sukai adalah bisa
berganti-gantian mengajar didalam kelas saat lagi bingung ingin berbicara apa
ada yang membantu,hal yang tidak saya suka saat proses mengajar yaitu terlalu
banyak orang karena membuat kelas menjadi bising tidak terkendali siswa-siswi
bingung memfokuskan kepada siapa karena terlalu banyak guru dan terkadang
sering terjadi beda pendapat.

English for young learners, actually we called it eyl give us many


advantages, dimana semula kami tidak pernah mengajar anak-anak,lalu terjun
langsung kelapangan ternyata tidak mudah mengajar anak-anak,dari mata
kuliah ini kami bisa mengerti bagaimana mengendalikan anak-anak agar
mereka tertarik pada pelajaran bahasa inggris .sebelum kami terjun kelapangan
our lecturer memberikan pertanyaan kepada kami lebih mudah mengajar atau
remaja banyak diantara kami menjawab lebih mudah mengajar anak-
anak,ternyata hal ini salah,lebih sulit mengajar anak-anak, dimana kita harus
mempunyai banyak strategi untuk mengajar agar mereka tidak bosan saat proses
mengajar berlangsung. Terkadang ada juga yang mengambek karena kita lebih
memfokuskan murid yang lainya dibanding dia.

Selama proses mata kuliah eyl berlangsung mem magda dan mem lingga
banyak memberikan masukan kepada kami,misalnya baiknya begini kalau ingin
mengulang materi minggu lalu agar mereka lebih mengerti.mem maghda lebih
sering memberikan masukan ketika berada didalam kelas sebelum proses
mengajar berlangsung,sehingga hal ini sangat membantu kami untuk ketahap
yang lebih sulit selajutnya.
