HOUSING shall be constructed of die-
cast aluminum, sheet steel and
aluminum, with a high temperature black
finish.
OPTICAL TRAIN consists of a medium
two-pin socket accommodating 500-'l 000
watt tungsten halogen lamps, specular
Alzak double{latted elliptical reflector
and plano convex lens(es) of low
expansion, borosilicate glass. Lens
configuration 1-(8" x 14") willprovide a
field angle of 10'.
The gate assembly contains four
adjustable nickel/chromium stainless
steel framing shutters and a pattern slot.
Each shutter operates in an independent
plane, with plus or minus 30 degrees of
10'Ellipsoidal
angular rotation between adjacent

rotation throughout the gate. Maximum
shutters is 120". Shutter blades are
equipped with thermally insulated
handles with fingerholes. Optional
customer-installed lris assembly is
available.
The socket assembly is designed for
rapid filament alignment by use of a
thermoplastic focus handle on socket
housing which permits precise pealVllat
field control. The entire assembly may
be removed without tools for lamp
replacement.
SOCKET shall be precision lypeTP-22
UL recognized, steatite insulated, die-
cast aluminum construction rated 600
volts, 1000 watts, 250"C, continuous
operation. Lamp seal temperatures will
not be exceeded.
PERFORMANCE with 1000 watt,300
hour 3200"k lamp shall be 563,000 beam
candlepower with 10'field, as shown in
re{erence chart.
MOUNTING Unit is provided with heavy
steel yoke, painted malleable iron C-
Clamp for up to 2" LD. pipe with a tapped
and threaded hanger pin. Fixtures will
rotate vertically through the yoke for
simple focusing.
ELECTRICAL Unit shallbe provided with
36" 3-wire VHT leads, with connector as
specified by catalog number.
