 1. Network Design of Music Store

1.1 Requirements:
 Design network for music store.
 Need to design network for two stores at a time.
 Music store should allow customers to download music online.

To design a network firstly we require highly effective sever having large bandwidth which can
deals with large amount of data and which can provides efficient internet services to connected
PCs as well. The sever must have maximum capacity to work properly in case you want to
double the network in future.

As the requirement is to design network for two stores, consider on store is Store X and other is
Store Y. So, now we have two store and design network according to it.

1.2 Network Scenario for Store X

 To connect the office computers and POS computer with the server we use a switch, of having 10
ports to make a network.
 The computers are directly connected to Switch and Switch directly connected to the server for
internet access to network.
 We use a firewall for the security purpose of network i-e to secure the network from intruders.
 The firewall also protect the software tools from the unauthorized users who want to access the
network.
 In order to provide public WI-FI access to the peoples and connect with the network we use
wireless device
 We also use the wireless devise for download purpose as well.

1.3 Network scenario for Store Y

 In order to give access of network connection to store Y, we use fiber optic cable that is
connected to switch of server.
 We use another switch in store Y to provide connection to computers of offices as well as
the computer of POS.
 For the safety of wire we must underground the fiber optical cable between Store X and Store Y.
 The wireless device alse needed for purpose of providing Wi-Fi facility to the customers and get
online music as well.
In future, if we need to add more computer in each stores w can easily manage the computer in the
existing network by using switches of greater ports.
