Course Description This course deals with the concepts, principles and techniques of nursing care management of
those with chronic illness and the older persons.

Course Credit 3 units


Contact Hours/sem 54 lecture hours
Pre-requisite All Professional Subjects
Placement 4th year, 1st semester
Course Objective At the end of the course, and given scenarios/conditions and situations, the student should be
able to:
1. Utilize the nursing process in the care of patients with chronic illness and care of the
older person.
2. Discuss special concerns, issues and trends in caring for the chronically ill and the older
person.
