I. ADOBE PHOTOSHOP
II. COURSE DESCRIPTION
Computer graphics is an ever present element that can be seen everywhere, from a simple street sign to an elaborately design billboards. It is
used to convey messages and express ideas. Graphics can be found in business, education, and entertainment. This course is designed to
introduce the students to the process of producing graphics and features the use of Adobe Photoshop. It will provide students skills on how to
design and organize images and publications that can be used for brochure, flyers, posters, books, and magazines. Students will learn the
techniques in preparing computer graphics for commercial printing or Web page development.
III. TARGET SCOPE
Chapter 1: Introduction to Digital Imaging Chapter 5: Creating Image Composition
Chapter 2: Using Adobe Bridge Chapter 6: Color and Tonal Adjustment
Chapter 3: Introduction to Photoshop Chapter 7: Painting and Retouching

IV. GENERAL OBJECTIVES
At the end of the scholastic year, the students are expected to:
1. Know the concepts behind computer graphics and image editing;
2. Apply different image editing techniques in Photoshop;
3. Enhance the quality of photographs;
4. Describe the importance of combining text to an image composition;
5. Work with layers and selections;
6. Master the use of channels, filters, and masks;
7. Recognize the importance of copyright when using resources from the Web; and
8. Express ideas through the use of image composition.
