The Consortium that build the sustainable Waste Factory in Bali:

Building Site
Space needed 6-10 ha whereby 10 ha for the waste factory and 4 ha for the housing area.
The Factory(ies) will have the following configurations for the bio-coal production:

1. VTA (Vapor Thermal Carbonization) reactor for the input capacity of 2000 mtons/day or 2
VTA reactors for the input capacity of 1000 mtons/day;
2. Gasification unit(s)
3. CHP (Combined Heat Power) units – if needed
4. All necessary equipment

We are handling only the Household and Industrial Waste of the cities.

We further on distinguish:
The Outside Management : The Waste Collection System
The Inside Management : The sustainable Waste Factory.

The waste collection system will be the second phase project for Bali.
We will prove first our abilities and capabilities to handle the MSW based upon our more than
20 years experienced in America, Europe and the Middle-East.

Type of Waste Factory for Bali:

1. Sustainable
2. Zero Waste according to the European definition, so no landfill needed
3. Contains 2 departments: A Waste2Energy unit producing bio-coal from the organic part and
recycled products (18-20) from the inorganic parts

The choice for bio-coal is made because Indonesian have lots of biomass that could be conversed
to bio-coal. The difference is that now with the high and advanced technology and on growing
price in the world especially the western world we will put this type of output (bio-coal) on first
priority.

Alternatives are bio-fuels, electricity and heat with less commercial possibilities.

The 3R waste conversion

equipment will be
manufactured in
Indonesia on the basis of
a Contracting Agreement
with a Machine Factory
in Indonesia.

This Contractor could also be the builder of all the buildings on the factory site.
If it’s not the case, then the 3R part will be put under a sub-contracting agreement whereby the
building contractor acts as the main contractor and takes responsibility for the sub-contractor(s).

The factory is a so called “closed black box” system with most

advanced technologies like no odor because the system uses
“sought air” technology for the fermentation of the compost.

Thermo-Mur Building System

Modest housing for the scavengers who will be trained and labored as professional waste
workers. A high quality according to the Deutsche Industry Norm accredited certification for the
factory workers will be built. DIN is the highest level of building certificate in the world.
The houses are earth quake proof, non-flammable, non-hazardous, anti-termite and lifetime last
of 150 years.

A DIN-certificated house built in 6-7 days

Specially built to support the Thermo-Mur mobile factories that consist of:
1. 2 40 feet containers of material factories
2. 1 solar plant also built up in standard containers to energize the factories

Needed building site for the waste factory dwellings: 4 ha.
