How we work
In most of our compliance work we use software named FOCOS from Viaware B.V.
FOCOS is a tool to support food contact compliance work within the material supply
chain.
With FOCOS we can manage products and raw materials, create DoC’s and manage
supporting documents.

Master/Slave approach
When a part or article is produced at the same factory with the same material and
processing window we will often use a Master/Slave approach meaning we’ll test one
master article under worst case circumstances and copy the results to our Slave parts
or articles. This will be notified in the DoC if applicable.

directive.

substances that are restricted or prohibited as a result of national or international
regulations, or environmental and/or health concerns.

6) Confirmation that the above mentioned articles and part complies with relevant REACH
regulation
• The European REACH Regulation 1907/2006 on Registration, Evaluation, Authorization,
and Restriction of Chemicals (REACH), Annex XVII entered into force in June 2009, and
affects all companies producing, importing, using, or placing products on the European
market. The aim of the REACH regulation is to ensure a high level of protection of
human health and the environment from chemical substances.
