STATEMENT OF PURPOSE

Introduction
I, Roopanpreet Kaur, daughter of Narinder Singh and Lakhwinder Kaur was born on 05/12/1996
Passport no N1585257 Permanent resident of Vill Jadhpur, P.O Jaito Sarja, Gurdaspur, Pin:
143505, Punjab, India. I am single devoted and energetic person having interpersonal
personality with strong desire for the pursuit of knowledge and I am looking forward to get
enrolled in Business courses which are Diploma in Business and Advanced Diploma in Business
at Sheffield for 2019 intake. I believe that my experience at this institution will prepared me
well for the demands of studying in the Australia.

Academic Background
I have completed my Diploma in Computer Application from Rajindra Academy, Mukerian and
senior secondary from Golden Senior Secondary School (PSEB) in 2016 and got 79.1 percent.
My Matriculation from B B S B Public School (CBSE) in 2014 with 7.6 CGPA. Throughout my
senior secondary class, I have exposed to various subjects in economics, business studies,
accountancy and English core. After completion of Diploma in Computer Application, I wanted
to extend this knowledge and specialized in a particular field. Then I gathered information
about the advance diploma program in India as well as in other countries, their universities,
courses, fee structure, environment along with benefits and support for international student,
after serious comparison. I finally decided to apply for Business Courses at Sheffield College. So,
I spent few months for IELTS preparation and then appeared for examination which was held in
03/08/2017. I secured 5.5 band score in IELTS.

Reason for choosing Australia for My Education Destiny

Australia provides a unique experience in terms of education with its rich history in research
and educational initiatives. The culture provides an inclination towards innovative thinking,
creativity, reasoning and problem solving. Moreover, there are quality institutions that are
known worldwide for the value they add to a student's career. There are pros and cons even for
Indian students wishing to study in Australia. Along with getting good international exposure, a

Reason for Choosing Adelaide for Studying

Adelaide is the only city in the semi-arid state of South Australia. It is one of five Australian

study abroad in Adelaide because it is the cheapest city to live in among the major cities and it
is also rated as highly livable. Adelaide weather is good for summer & winter. However, the
winter months can be cool and typically produce good amounts of rainfall. A popular weekend

 Diploma of Business: This qualification will enable me to gain the knowledge and skills
to build and manage an effective team, manage the recruitment of right people, support
staff and develop their skills as well as manage organization risks.
After completion of my Diploma of Business this qualification may assist me in entry to
Advanced Diploma of Leadership and Management course.

 Advance Diploma of Business Course: This qualification will enable me to gain the
knowledge and skills in lead and manage organizational change; manage budgets and
financial plans, business plan, Manage marketing process, manage knowledge and
information, Plan E-marketing communication.
After completion of my Advance Diploma of Business this qualification may assist me in
entry to a University Degree course.

I have great interest in business studies, Manage finances and Business Plan. I am confident
that my Business courses will improve me better career opportunities due to international
recognition. In this respect, I am providing true and complete information for your kind
consideration.

Career Plan after Completion of my Study

As for my future plan, I have chosen Business courses as I have dream to be a qualified a project
manager in India financial sector. After completion of my advance diploma. I will return to my
home country and will engage myself in most remunerable financial sector. I have seen great
opportunity in my country after completion of my course. The door of finance related
organizations and business houses are always open to me. I hope to acquire the expertise in
business, and especially project manager that will enable me to work as a professional in
National/multinational Company. I hope to develop the language skills, leadership and
management abilities, cultural understandings and professional expertise that will make me an
effective and successful businessperson.

Not only that, I have a motive to get into top business groups and construction companies like
Infosys, Ashok Leyland, Sun Pharma, Hdfc bank and Reliance Industries Limited which are
leading business companies with outstanding transaction and more good news is that they are
expanding their branches, transactions and career opportunities. I am confident that scope for
my employment in today’s global business environment would be wider for me.

Economic Background
I have sufficient funds to afford my education and stay in Australia. My father is Agriculturist.
We have various funds to sponsoring my studies to Australia for the perquisite period of my
stay in Australia. These funds are held in the form of saving and the total available funds are
INR 20, 26,188.50. My family having an annual income of INR 9, 00,000. My primary intention
to apply for visa is only for gaining international qualification and experience rather than
permanent settlement. So, after obtaining adequate knowledge and skills, I must come back to
India and live with my family.

Genuine Temporary Entrant Criteria

To get admission in above mentioned institute of Australia, I have followed the GTE criteria as
on the basis of my academic acceptability by my education provider & once I received with the
offer letter I paid my tuition fee & received my COEs for my intended courses to lodge my
student visa application with AHC

About 500 VISA SUBCLASS : - In Australia there are some norms or conditions
which I had to follow:

 I as a student have to obey the attendance rules of University i.e.80%.

 I need to Maintain OSHC for full duration of my stay in Australia.
 I cannot start work before the commencement of intended course.
 I cannot change my education provider for six months upon enrolment.
 I have to inform Department of Immigration & Border Protection (DIBP) or my education
Conclusion
As in today’s business world international exposer has become very necessary to get the best
opportunities in life, after completing my Business courses in Sheffield college, I look forward to
a career in industrial and business sector where I could make considerable contribution in these
field. I am sure that this course would provide me with a stepping stone to my career path. I
also believe with all these skills and experiences I would be able to return to my country and be
able to bring positive changes in my field.
