Course Prerequisite Basic arithmetic, reasoning and analytical ability and skill
Course Synopsis The aim of this course is to impart knowledge about various stages of
the research processes and their application in hospitality and tourism
business decision making.
Course Outcomes At the end of the course student shall be able to: -
 Explain the various terminologies used in hospitality and tourism
research (C2)
 Demonstrate knowledge in different types of research methods and
techniques (C3)
 Undertake research using a recognized methodology and
framework(C5)
 Apply theory, synthesize literature, gather, analyze, and interpret
data(C5)
 Display skills in employing various statistical methods to analyse
research data(C3)
 Able to develop technical reports used for managerial decision
making(C2)
 Design and execute the research projects following the ethics in
hospitality, tourism and event management research. (C5, A3)
