CHAPTER I
INTRODUCTION
A. Background
Waste is leftover material that is not expected after the end of a process.
Garbage is determined by humans based on their degree of use, in natural
processes there is actually no concept of waste, there are only products that are
produced after and during ongoing natural processes. However, because in
human life is defined the concept of environment, waste can be divided
according to its types.
Inorganic rubbish, which is waste that is not easily decomposed, such as
plastic food packaging containers, paper, plastic toys, beverage bottles and
glasses, cans, wood, and so on. This garbage can be used as commercial waste
or sold garbage to be used as other products. Some inorganic wastes that can be
sold are plastic food packaging containers, beverage bottles and cups, cans, glass
and paper, both newsprint, HVS, or cardboard.
Garbage in the Cibitung sub-district reaches 70 tons per day, Putra Selang
Jaya's business accepts inorganic waste in the form of plastic bottles, cardboard
boxes, cans, paper, and items that can be recycled.
