SHERA floor plank and SHERA motiva
SHERA floor plank and SHERA motiva products are wood substitute, produced from Portland
cement, cellulous fibre, refined sand, and water. The advanced manufacturing technology
“autoclave” utilizes a high-pressure steam machine and creates the following outstanding

Mr. Nukul Chatchongcharoen, an energetic businessman and

He renovated his swimming pool area using SHERA motiva,

cassia texture. He chose his preferred color and painted
the artistic and elegant appearance for swimming pool area
of his home. The good point of SHERA motiva, cassia texture
is that its shallow wood-grain makes it easy to clean and
weather resistant. Additionally, it can be used not only as
floor but also applied as stair tread. Moreover, in case of
installation at pool area, making gaps between each plank

The steel used for the steel frame structure should consist of standard
steel that meets the standards of the Thai Industrial Standard Institution.
The steel should be square cut, rigid, and should be securely connected
to the steel beam in order to prevent screws loosening when encountering
unexpected heavy loads.

 Preparation of Concrete Floor
SHERA floor plank and SHERA motiva can be installed on both cement screed and concrete floor using tile adhesive. When
installing SHERA floor plank and SHERA motiva with tile adhesive, the level of concrete floor should be approximately 30 mm
lower than the designed level of SHERA floor plank and SHERA motiva. The recommended thickness of the adhesive is around
5-6 mm and use a standard notched trowel for better control of the thickness of tile adhesive along the floor.

Installation on timber frame structure

Fix SHERA floor plank to timber structure using SHERA screw
Fix-T1 ¾” (self-drilling, countersunk head screw ). Fasten both sides
of SHERA floor plank to every timber joist by using screw along
the length of SHERA floor plank.
Installation on steel frame structure
depending on applications
Fix SHERA floor plank to steel structure using SHERA screw
Fix-W45 (self-drilling, countersunk head screw ). Fasten both sides
of SHERA floor plank to every timber joist by using screw along

Installation on
concrete floor structure : Tile Adhesive
When fixing SHERA floor plank and SHERA motiva with tile adhesive, existing floor should have adequate degree of leveling before fixing. In case
the existing floor is not leveled, self-leveling mortar such as LANKO 173 is recommended to level the floor prior to SHERA floor plank and
SHERA motiva fixing.
3. Spread a thin layer of tile adhesive to the back of SHERA floor plank before
laying them onto the floor which has alread applied tile adhesive. Apply
weight on the both ends of the SHERA floor plank and leave the adhesive
to dry at least 24 hours before painting. (See the painting guide)
Note :
We recommend using tile adhesive for low water absorption tile like WEBER Tai.gres or WEBER.Tai. flex.( See more details from
the tile adhesive installation manual. The installations of SHERA floor plank and SHERA motiva are similar to the installation of large ceramic
tiles in the tile adhesive installation manual).

 Installation of SHERA floor plank
on concrete floor structure : Screw Installation as Sunshade
1. Level the surface of the concrete slab with a concrete topping and slope of 1:100.
2. Mark positions of bore holes on SHERA floor plank or SHERA motiva, with a spacing of 600mm. Structural Frame Height: less than 1.20 metres
3. Drill SHERA floor plank or SHERA motiva using an electric drill suitable for concrete. Use an 8mm diameter drill bit, then a 10mm
diameter drill bit and drill to a depth of 5mm to ensure best screw head finishing. Structure Preparation
4. Lay SHERA floor plank or SHERA motiva on the concrete slab with the bored holes adjacent to hole positions on the concrete slab.
5. Drill concrete slab with an 8mm diameter drill bit to a depth of 5mm. 3000 mm
6. Insert size M8 plastic screw plugs in bored holes then fix the SHERA floor plank with screw Fix T 2 ¼”.
7. Finish the screw heads with putty. Coat floor plank with acrylic paint. Protect from scratches with gloss urethane.

• Leave gap 2-3 mm at jointing area. Then, seal joint and
screw head with PU sealant.

How to refinish screw head To ensure the durability of products, SHERA floor plank and SHERA motiva should be painted on all 6 sides to prevent moisture and water
absorption. The back surface and edge of the floor plank should be painted prior to installation. The front surface should be painted after
the installation.
The type of paint will depend on the usage of the product: interior , exterior with light or heavy traffic areas.

Handling
• SHERA floor plank and SHERA motiva should be handled and stacked carefully
to avoid the breakage and damage around edges and corners.
APPLICATIONS

• SHERA floor plank and SHERA motiva should be handled and supported at both
ends, at about 500 mm from each end. The plank should always be lifted edge-up,
with the plank width oriented vertically.

It is recommended that products should be stored under cover to maintain moisture
equilibrium prior to fixing and finishing. Installing SHERA products when damp or wet
