At times the Christian life can be a difficult journey. Our trust in God may waver, but his
faithfulness never falters. These original Christian poems about faith are meant to
inspire you with hope and trust in the Lord. Allow these words of truth to rebuild your
faith as you put your confidence in the God of the impossible.

Stand In Faith
Stand in faith
Even when you can’t see your way
Stand in faith
Even when you feel like you can’t face another day
Stand in faith
Even when the tears want to flow from your eyes
Stand in faith
Knowing that our God will always provide
Stand in faith
Even when you feel that all hope is gone
Stand in faith
Knowing that He is always there for you to lean on
Stand in faith
Even when you feel like giving up
Stand in faith
Because He is there ... saying, "Just look up"
Stand in faith
Even in those times you feel so all alone
Stand in faith
Hold on and be strong, for He is still on the throne
Stand in faith
Even when it’s hard to believe
Stand in faith
Knowing that He can change your situation, suddenly
Stand in faith
Even in those times you feel it’s hard to pray
Stand in faith
And believe that He has already made the way
Faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen
So stand in faith
Because you already have the victory!
"We Have the Victory" is an original Christian poem by Mike Shugart It is a celebratory
reminder that Jesus Christ has won the victory over sin and death.
--Mike Shugart
This responsive poem was written for Night 5 at Spring Harvest 2012. It
approaches the topic of our unity and diversity as the Body and Bride of
Christ. You can use the PowerPoint to allow people to join in the response at
the end of each verse - a good symbol of unity! As poetry, it deserves to be
read meaningfully. You can bring out the humour in some of the lines, but also
the sadness of some of the others. We let it go into a time of sung worship at
Spring Harvest, but it could also come at the end of a service.
We are many,
God's great diversity,
yet we are one in Christ.
Different faces,
different races,
yet we are one in Christ.
Butchers, bakers,
website makers,
bankers, tailors,
teachers, sailors,
yet we are one in Christ.
Fathers, mothers,
sisters, brothers,
single, married,
broken, carried,
yet we are one in Christ.
A broken body,
torn apart,
mars God's image,
breaks God's heart.
And yet our Father knows how the end will be,
when all his kids will sing in harmony,
the bride will dazzle, her branches bloom,
so add your voice to hymn the tune
that we are one in Christ.
I Am Not Alone

As I helped others with their healing for years and tried to guide them to his light,
I finally decided it was my time.
I finally called out begging for HIS presence.
For years I called and begged for HIM.
I need you more than ever;
please show me you exist. T
hen one low day I screamed for help
as I could not take the pain anymore.
Just believe

He Is There

Taste him when you bite into the yellow ripeness of a mango
or when you quench your thirst with sweet water of a coconut.
God comes to us only in quiet and simple ways.
Never his presence in violence will you find;
never look for him in words of anger or cowardly actions.
His love and his peace surround us, above and beyond.
And only in those simple, everyday things
when we look with our eyes filled with his love
can we find him.
