Economic Development studies the causes and the cure of mass poverty. The course presents the
economic situations of people in developing countries in comparison with the developed countries. Progress
toward development in the vast majority of the world’s developing nations affects the lives, peace and stability
of the world as a whole, thus making development economics an applied area of study.
