COLLEGE OF TEACHER EDUCATION, ARTS AND SCIENCES

A Course Module

in

ECON1
Economics with Taxation and Agrarian Reform

Prepared by:
ALVIN KRIS B. ALIC
Mid-year 2019
PREFACE

This module is designed to serve as guide for college students and

instructors of Fellowship Baptist College towards comprehensive

understanding of Economics. As this is presented in modular structure, the

author expects that it will be used in an interesting and interactive manner.

Prevalent problems in teaching economics today were considered in

crafting this module. Thus, since the course is often taught in the late college

years, a pre-test on basic algebra, and politics and governance with

Philippine constitution have been included. This will aid the learners in

connecting math and social science concepts as pre-requisites in studying

economics.

At the end of this course, it is the hope of the author that students were

able to foster greater appreciation and understanding of Economics, and

eventually to take part in applying the course’s challenge to bring positive

change to the Philippine economy.
