OPERATIONAL PROCEDURE
Equipment Type Heat Gun
Equipment Code HG-01
Location Electrical laboratory/workshop
Operation Procedure:

1. Inspect the equipment. Be sure that the area is dry and no spilt liquid
nearby.
2. Check the power cords, wipe dust, and unnecessary object that will
obstruct the operation of equipment.
3. Use a special purpose outlet for this equipment.
4. Use the HEAT GUN properly.
 Turn on the equipment and wait until it blows hot air.
 Hold properly and swing the heat gun into the PVC pipe.
 Wait until the hot air let the pipe to be flexible then bend it.
5. Properly turn off the equipment and wait until it cold.
6. Avoid direct hot air to the skin and keep others on a distance when
someone is using.
7. Do not touch the tip of the equipment when operating. Hot air coming
out from the heat gun.
8. Hold the equipment properly to avoid it from dropping.
9. Unplug the power connection when not in use.
10. To protect the equipment return to its case.

 7. Is the air conditioning system equipment cleaned and functional?

 8. Is the tool room free from dust, with legible and visible labels/signage’s,
logbook and forms complete in order and updated? Tools with safety guards
in appropriate position/location?

 9. Is the wash area cleaned, sanitized, and free from unnecessary objects such
as mops, rags? Are all water, drainage and electrical system functional?

 10. Is the rest room well cleaned, dry and sanitized, no unacceptable odor and
free from unnecessary object such as mops, rags, outdated signage, dangling
objects? Are the urinals, bowls, washbasins, walls and partitions free from
stains, dirt, oils, graffiti and unnecessary objects? Is it equipped with
adequate dipper and pails and properly located after use?

 11. Is the workshop surroundings cleaned and cleared of obstruction?

 12. Are there available receptacles for waste? Are the waste materials properly
segregated and disposed?
