Patrick Patrick is a polite, consciences student who
continually works hard. He contributes well in
class discussions and is able to answer more
complex and challenging comprehension

motivated to learn which often means he
completes class task early.
Where possible, it is important to extend

him extension tasks if he finishes early. It is also
important to not just rely on him in class
discussions.

Kevin has demonstrated behavioural issues
with bullying.
It is important to regularly check in with Kevin
to ensure we completes the written work. I
should try to motivate and encourage him to
complete tasks and alter them if need be. In
group tasks, Kevin can sometimes be
dominating and will not compromise for his
peers. It is important for me to encourage his
table group to equal share and work positively
amongst others. If issues arise, I should help
Kevin and his peers deal with them before they
escalate.

Kevin Z Kevin is a creative individual who is happy and
enjoys expressing himself. In most lessons,
Kevin understands the requirements of the
tasks after verbal clarification with the teacher.
He is then able to begin the task but often
struggles to start without the incentive or
guidance from the teacher. At times, Kevin
struggles to communicate in English what he
doesn’t understand.
To support Kevin during lessons, I will clarify
lesson tasks as a whole class and with the
individually check in with Kevin to ensure he
understands his requirements. When Kevin is
having difficulty explaining to me in English his
thinking, I will use simple language and
prompting questions to elicit his
understanding.

Rain Rain is a happy, positive and outgoing member
of the class. He participates well in class
discussions and works well in group tasks.
Sometimes Rain has difficulty focusing and
beginning individual work and often needs
encouragement and guidance to begin his

Muchen Muchen is a quiet member of class 3D. He is
able to complete his homework but does have
difficulty with understanding assignments
sometimes.
Haotian A quiet member within the class who doesn’t
get very involved with class discussion. Seems
to understand class work but is hard to tell if
he is intrinsically motivated to learn.
Will Will is a quiet, yet confident member of the
class. He is good a providing example but can
sometimes need help to form his responses
into sentences. He demonstrates a sound
understanding of topics and asks clarification
questions when required.
Ming Ming Ming participates well in class and is often able
to answer more challenging CCQ questions. He
works well amongst his peers and is quite
mature for his age, so he often takes the lead
in group tasks.
Joon Joon is very intelligent and likes to do well. He
has a good sense of humour and is quite
outgoing and talkative in class.
William William is intrinsically motivated to learn. He
often contributes well to class discussion and
responds well to questions in class.
Coco Coco is a quiet, high achieving student who
understands concepts at a deeper level and
completes homework tasks to a high level.
Coco is quiet in class and rarely contributes to
class discussion.
Mary Mary is a very polite, sweet student. She could
benefit from improving with her
effort at the start of the lesson to check in
with Rain and tell him prior to the lesson
commencing, the resources he will need for
class.
When the class is doing table group work, it
will be important for me to regularly and
check in and observe their group to ensure
both boys are staying on task. To help Joey
stay on task I should also encourage him to
share his understanding in class discussions.
Make sure homework instructions are clear
and explicit. Ask comprehension checking
questions to make sure the student
understand the requirements of the task.

As a high achieving student William needs to
be challenged and supported to achieve his
best.
Ensure that Ming is provided with
opportunities to extend himself but also
doesn’t become to dominating in group
activities.

While William does a great job participating in
class sometimes, he needs support to make
sure his response is relevant to the questions
being asked.

to fall behind in class work and have a limited
understanding for homework.
Selina H. Selena is very close friends with Yoga,
sometimes the girls can get off task and laugh
a lot.
Yoga Yoga is good friends with Selina. She is a quiet
member within class but always completes her
homework to a sound standard.
Gin Gin is a very happy student who is kind to
everyone. She is willing to ask clarifying
questions when she doesn’t understand. She is
supportive of her peers and works well within
group tasks.
Melissa Melissa is a very diligent worker; she tries very
hard and is always willing to help her peers.
When she doesn’t understand she is good at
asking questions to clarify.
