FINAL CASE
The meteoric use of plastics over years has left the human civilization undone
in environmental aspects. It is assumed that within 2050, oceans will have
more plastics than fish. The cheapness, durability and versatility of plastics
come with the great threat of degrading slowly which continuously affects the
environment.

The plastic industry is continuously rising producing about 300 million tons
plastic every year with a 750 billion annual revenue. 275 million metric tons of
waste produced in 192 coastal areas are plastic. Ammonium levels are
continuously increasing in plots of plastic waste.

The whole scenario is alarming and getting worse day by day. It is a matter of
concern that common people are not aware of these big facts and contrary the
capitalist world is taking immense benefit out of it leaving huge impact on the
environment.

Give a proposal of possible interventions and activities that can be undertaken

in order to manage the plastics around the globe. Make the solution cost
effective and determine your required timespan to achieve the final goal.

RULES & REGULATIONS

 Reporting time for the finalists is 2:30 p.m.

 You must use your own pen drive to submit the presentation file before

2:00 p.m. on July 20th or submit to us at,

environment.watch.buet2017@gmail.com.

 Make sure the presentation file is made with (or compatible to) Microsoft

Power Point.

 You must submit only one file as your presentation file before 2:00

p.m. The file name must be named after your team name. Your file

should not exceed 25 MB. Make sure you embed the fonts and images

in your presentation file.

 After you have submitted your slides, no further modification can be

made.

 The timespan for presenting your solution at the finale is 7 minutes

followed by a 3 minutes of Q/A round.

 Your team must be groomed in formal outfit.

 The competition will start at 3:00 p.m.
