Founder and Director of TPPL, a Projects, cGMP and Training Organization based in Thane, near Mumbai.
Started as a partnership venture in 2001, TPPL was made into a Private Ltd. company in 2008.

TPPL has so far designed 80 facilities for pharmaceutical and Biotech organizations in India and abroad.
These include Biotech API as well formulations and Pharmaceutical Formulations, Research and Development
facilities.

The clients include some of the best known names in the Pharmaceutical and Biotechnology Sectors like
Sandoz, Ranbaxy, Dr. Reddy’s Laboratories and many others in India as well as Incepta Pharmaceuticals in
Bangla Desh, Sanovel in Turkey etc.

Accomplishments:

1. TPPL has grown from simple gap analysis consultancy to a full service organization catering to
Pharmaceutical and Biotech organizations.

It now provides the following services

i. Technical due diligence and gap analysis for existing facilities.

ii. Concept design and gross cost estimates for new facilities.
iii. Detailed Design and Engineering of various disciplines for new facilities.
iv. Feasibility studies for new facilities.
v. Site supervisions services.
vi. Training and Validation Services.

2. Have successfully built the organization form nothing to a turnover of INR 45 million today. Apart from
two other Directors handling Validation, Engineering and Finance, TPPL also employs 6 engineers,
3 CAD operators and other support staff.

3. A total of over 80 facilities have now been designed by TPPL and more than 35 gap analysis and due
diligence assignments have been completed
.
4. Many facilities designed and commissioned have been approved by global regulatory agencies like the
US FDA, EDQM, TGA, MCC and WHO.
These include Sandoz OSD facilities in Kalwe, Sandoz Carba Penem Facility in Turbhe,
Promed Exports Injectables Facility in Nalagarh, Aurolab Medical Devices and
Formulations facility in Madurai, Rubicon Research Facility at Ambernath, Microlabs
OSD facility at Goa, Sanovel at Turkey, Incepta Pharmaceuticals OSD facility at
Dhaka, Incepta Pharmaceuticals Hormones Facility at Dhaka, Emcure
Pharmaceuticals Oncology Injectables Facility at Hinjewadi Pune, Centaur Pharma
Development Centre and Three Piece Ophthalmics facility at Hinjewadi and many others.

5. A number of state of the art facilities are under construction including Vivimed at Hyderabad, Arvind
Remedies at Chennai, Dr. Reddy’s at Vizag, Colorcon Asia Pvt. Ltd. at Goa, Span Diagnostics at
Surat, Regenerative Medical Services at Lonawala and many others.

ASSOCIATE DIRECTOR, MANUFACTURING 1999- 2001

Responsibilities: Ghatkopar, Mumbai operations, Contract Manufacturing Operations, Relocation of

products at new sites, Vendor development for the Pharmaceutical Formulations business.

Accomplishments:
1. Designed the new manufacturing facility at Goa.
2. Transferred products from Ghatkopar to a number of contract manufacturing sites both on loan licenses
as well as third party basis after proper vendor qualification processes.

GENEARL MANAGER, MANUFACTURING 1995- 1999

Merind Ltd
Responsibilities: Bhandup Mumbai operations, Contract Manufacturing Operations, Packaging
Development, Vendor development for the Pharmaceutical Formulations business.

Accomplishments:
1. Turnaround of sterile manufacturing for both productivity and cost reduction.
2. Development of number of new sites for contract manufacturing.
3. Execution of the Voluntary Retirement Scheme.

ASST. MANAGER, MANUFACTURING 1989- 1995

Roussel India Ltd
Responsibilities: Shop Floor Operations Supervision for multiple dosage forms including Oral
Solids, Injectables, Liquid Orals, Ointments and Creams and customization of MRP II software
from PRODSTAR, France, an IBM subsidiary.

Accomplishments:
1. Introduction and customization of new high speed manufacturing and packaging equipment.
2. Fastest customization of MRP II package among all the subsidiaries of Roussel.
3. Computerized data entry for most of the pharmaceutical manufacturing operations, inventory control of
work in progress etc.
