Locations:
The locations in which I need to use would be that
which contrast one another, by this I am regarding
the difference between urban and rural
environments.
I want to be able to use a wide variety of shots for
me to be able to fully capture the surroundings
and somewhat meet and support this with the
costume design and lighting conditions. By this, I
am regarding having quite, mildly, mundane
features for the urban scenery as then I can
establish and outstand the ‘mundane qualities of
how society has built itself around modern details
such as:
- Technological advanced; cars and billboards
- Social media; snapchat and
distances/antisocial behaviour
- Mainstream identities: clothing and outlooks

integrate the sense of harmony and balance whenever the rural
sequences comes up. I deem this highly significant because by
evaluating this concept, it would (and hopefully should) bring greater
attention to the ideologies of climate change and the fundamental
change that deforestation and industrialisation has on our environment.
Torrington, the location in which I shall be taking a holiday at is a small
market town in the north of Devon. Parts of it are situated on high
ground with steep drops down to the River Torridge below. I feel as
though this would be an ideal landscape for my work to revolve around
because it could also allow me to communicate the balance between
modern establishments as well as rural scenery where in the small
towns the two concepts of industrialisation and country-life find a
match.
Overall, I want to be able to draw a conclusion between rural and urban
lifestyles and how this has an impact on perception and attitude.
