Classroom Management
The teacher asks each student what province his parents are from and
where he grew up or stayed the longest. Name the province(s), the
language/dialect he/she speaks, the food and fruits from that place,
B. Activity traditions celebrated, songs, crafts from that province.
Divide the class into the three island groups: Luzon, Visayas and Mindanao or
into other groupings relevant to the provinces represented by the students
and let them share their answers to the rest of their groupmates.
The teacher shows various interesting pictures of cultural motifs of Luzon
from Ivatans of Batanes down to the Southern Tagalog and Bicol Regions.
She explains varied representations of fabrics or textiles and accessories as
