STATEMENT
1. Provide a meaningful and continuous connection between theories, research, practice and teaching of
the social sciences disciplines and to engage in the development of students’ understanding of the social
science-related topics aligned with the social studies education program.
PROGRAM OUTCOMES
2. Engage the students to inquire, discuss, and assess the social problems, issues, and existing solutions
using different approaches of social studies education
3. Create a learning avenue for future social studies teacher to examine existing models towards
development and improvement
4. Provide research-based opportunities to draw implications to the practice and policy of social studies
