Motivation:
I have a jumble words here class what will you do
is to arrange it as fast as you can, and use it in a
sentence.

Presentation:
Our lesson for today is all about simple past
tense. But before that let’s define first what is the
meaning of a simple past tense.
( A simple past tense is a verb tense indicating
action that occurred in the past and which does
not extend into the present.)
Ex.
You saw me yesterday.
Nick took his medicine.
We visited Mom last week.

There are two kinds of past simple tense: regular


and irregular verb.

Regular Verb
-are those whose past tense and past participles
are formed by adding a d or an ed of the verb.
Ex.
* Laugh-laughed

She laughed very loud.

*Dance-danced

Alice danced very well.

*Study-studied

She studied a lot.

So, who can give me an example of regular verbs. Ma’am played,walked etc.

Irregular verbs
-a verb in which the past tense is not formed by
adding the usual –ed ending.

*break-broke
