THE FIRST MEETING

Introduction

To introduce our selve, we can tell other people about our names, our origin, and our home address.

My name is......

I am from....

I live in/on,at....

PRONOUN

 SUBJECTIVE PRONOUN

Subject pronoun (kata ganti orang) adalah kata ganti yang menunjukkan orang yang terbagi menjadi

1. First person singular adalah orang yang berbicara


2. Second person adalah orang yang diajak berbicara
3. Third person adalah orang yang dibicarakan

I = saya, aku (the first person singular)


You = kamu, anda (the second person singular)
He = dia laki-laki (the third person singular)
She = dia perempuan(the third person singular)
It = dia benda (the third person singular)
We = kami, kita (the first personn plural)
You = kalian (the second person plural)
They = mereka (the third person plural).
In sentence generally subject pronoun is used before infinitive nor auxiliary or to be.
Example:
 I am from Jambi.
 I live in Rimbo Bujang.

 OBJECTIVE PRONOUN

Objective Pronoun adalah kata ganti orang yang berfungsi sebagai objek dalam kalimat.

I  me= saya, aku (the first person singular)


You  you= kamu, anda (the second person singular)
He him = dia laki-laki (the third person singular)
She her = dia perempuan (the third person singular)
It it = dia benda (the third person singular)
We  us= kami, kita (the first personn plural)
You you = kalian (the second person plural)
They them = mereka (the third person plural).
Example: I love you.
She loves me.

 POSSESSIVE PRONOUN

Possessive Pronoun (Kata Ganti Kepunyaan) adalah kata ganti yang menunjukkan kepunyaan atau
kepemilikan yang berasal dari subject pronoun.

I mine = milikku
You yours= milikmu
He his = miliknya (laki-laki)
She hers = miliknya (perempuan)
It its = miliknya (benda)
We ours = miliknya kami/kita
You yours = miliknya kalian
They theirs= miliknya mereka

 POSSESSIVE ADJECTIVE

Possessive Adjective (Kata sifat Kepunyaan) adalah kata ganti yang menunjukkan kepunyaan atau
kepemilikan yang berasal dari subject pronoun.

I my… = milikku
You your…= milikmu
He his… = miliknya (laki-laki)
She her… = miliknya (perempuan)
It its… = miliknya (benda)
We our... = miliknya kami/kita
You your…= miliknya kalian
They their…= miliknya mereka

Possessive pronoun and possessive adjective is different. Possessive adjective is followed by noun.
Possessive pronoun is not followed by noun.

Example: This is my book. (Possessive adjective)

This is mine. (Possessive pronoun)

The Preposition for place (at, on in)

The Preposition for place is used to show about the position or the place of things. There
are three preposition for place, they are at, on, and at.

1. At is used to show the specific place, which have number of the house.

Example: I live at 23 Anggrek Street.

2. On is usually used to show the street.

Example: I live on Pattimura Street


3. In is used to show the general and large place, for example city, island, province, state, and
country.

Example: I live in Tebo.

I live in Jambi.

I live in Indonesia.

To tell about our hobbies, we can say:

I like singing.
I like fishing and reading book.

To tell about what we like in our life, we can say:


 My favorite food is/are…
 My favorite drink(s) is/are…
 My favorite color(s) is/are…

Example

My favorite food is fried chicken.


My favorite food is fried rice and meatballs.
My favorite drink is avocado juice.
My favorit color is green.
My favorite colors are red and blue.

There means ada.

There is  means ada for singular things.

There aremeans ada for plural things.

- My father is a policeman.
