For those of you who receive the Encourager electronical-
ly, I hope that you had a great Fourth of July and for those
who receive it via mail, I hope you had a wonderful Inde-
pendence Day! This past Sunday was a busy but amazing
day of worship and fun. Our men’s breakfast was deli-
cious and Ronald Skipper, our Men’s Ministry coordina-
tor, gave a challenging message. The God and Country
celebration was both inspiring and worshipful. We were
able to do our patriotic service again Monday night for
the community as a whole. I appreciate the hard work put
in by Lance, Cliff, Eddy, the choir, orchestra, tech crew
and all the volunteers who decorated, blew up balloons
and shot streamer cannons. I am especially thankful for
all the men and women who were present at both ser-
vices for their past and present service to our nation
through one of the branches of the armed forces.
Sunday evening the Country / Country Concert in Fellow-
ship Hall was a great way to end a great day! Hot dogs,
patriotic songs and country songs were enjoyed by all.
Thank you, Linda Blocker, to you and all your volunteers
(including Bro. Mike and Connie) for preparing and serv-
ing the brown bag meal. Thank you Lance and all those
who sang and for all those who attended.
Our youth, led by Cleve Mallory, had a very successful
mission trip to St. Louis. They arrived back safely this past
Saturday and now they prepare for Super Summer July 8-
12. Please continue to pray for our youth as they serve
and as they grow spiritually this summer. Remember that
they are the future leaders of our church.
Sunday, July 14 we will be celebrating Bro. Mike and Con-
nie’s thirty-two years here at Eastmont with a reception
in their honor. The reception will be in Fellowship Hall
from 2:00 - 4:00 pm. Please make plans to be there and
let all former members know that they are invited to this
special occasion.
Thank you all for being the faithful servants you are and
for making Eastmont truly a place of faith, family and
friends. I love you and love serving our Lord and Savior
with you as we give Him all the glory!

9 am - 4 pm. Day camp of missional learning and activities.

needed for 2nd grade and younger)
Baby Dedication -
Our next baby dedication will be Sunday, July 28 during
the 10:30 service. Please contact Karen Bush in the church
office if you would like to participate.

Bell Road YMCA from 5:30 - 7:30 pm. No cost, but RSVP
required through our First Look and 252@ Eastmont Face-
book pages. Come see which senior adult goes down the
water slide this year!

Forever Young
Tuesday, July 16, 2019 at 10:00 am in Fellowship Hall
(note location change). Our Special guest will be the
Eastmont Student Choir. A covered dish meal will follow
program.
Senior Adult Cruise:
Need everyone to complete the Online Check-In as soon
as possible. Make sure “Complete” is across from your
name and also your roommate’s name. Click on view/
print Docs, this will give you your luggage tags. Please call
Ashley or Billy to confirm your online registration. Once
everyone is registered, boarding passes will be printed.
John Knox is looking for some part-time caregivers who
can sit with a patient or prepare a meal. If interested
please call Beth Spiers at John Knox Manor. 334-284-

MONTGOMERY BISCUITS FUND RAISER
Eastmont Students have an opportunity to help with
parking at Riverwalk Stadium for Biscuits games. Families
who serve earn money toward Summer Mission Trip and
Super Summer. You may sign up for available slots
through the Student Ministry Facebook Page or by asking
Cleve.
SUPER SUMMER July 8-12
To find out remaining balances, please call the office and
speak to Karen. The buses will depart for Super Summer
on Monday, July 8, at 10:30 a.m.
STUDENT LEADERSHIP APPLICATIONS
Any student interested in serving as a Student Leadership
Team member must complete an application and return
it to Cleve or Karen by Wednesday, August 7th. Applica-
tions are available upon request.
HOMEGROUPS JULY
Some Sunday evenings our entire group will meet to-
gether, and other Sundays we may split up by Life-
Groups. A complete calendar of activities will be posted
soon on the Student Facebook page.
SPEAK Conference, July 19-20
Eastmont will host this year's SPEAK Conference. The
cost for Eastmont students to attend is $30. If you
attend Super Summer your cost will be $15. You may sign
up to attend by following the link posted on our student
Facebook page.
Miscellaneous
Bus Driver Needed
We are in need of a bus driver to pick up senior adults at
assisted living and nursing homes to bring them to Life-
Groups on Sunday mornings and then return them home
after the 10:30 service. You would only need to drive once
every 8 weeks. No special license is required, but you
must be between the ages of 25 and 75. Please contact
Karen in the church office if you are interested.

stown Dr). Our series is called Relational Rehab: A study

At Laguna Beach Christian Retreat in Panama City. July 26-
28. Cost: $75.
Missions
Guatemala Meeting
Next meeting July 7 at 4pm in Room 110. Please turn in

Music & Worship Ministries

God has blessed Eastmont’s Music and Worship Min-
istries with many opportunities to share and
serve! We want to give our ministry leaders a huge
thank you!! So many people have stepped up to lead
and serve. From the students, parents and adults
who helped make our “Music on Mission” Choir Tour
a success.... to the choir (adult and kidz), orchestra,
tech team, meal preparation and clean up crews that
allowed our “God & Country” & “Country Country”
Patriotic Services to be such a blessing! There are too
many servants to name - who gave of their resources.
But know, that above all, we are so grateful for your
faithfulness, commitment and humble hearts that
honor our Lord! THANK YOU!
